Hex pads with menzerna are pretty good no matter what level of experience.
For medium paints, I'd opt for black, white and green pads, both 5.5" and 4", compounds I'd maybe look at 85re and 2.03s. They've changed the names of them now to the level of cut I think which is 4000 and 2500 or...
I forgot to add hydr02 and washcoat. I've only just started trying them so too early to tell.
I want something that will improve / maintains water behaviour but also help to keep the car clean
What do people prefer or recommend as a top up product over both a wax or sealant?
I know C2 will get a strong mention, but in comparison to that I prefer Reload. I'm not blown away by Sonax BSD after all the hype. Beading was amazing for the first week but dropped off rapidly to match any...
Glad you're happy with them. The 2nd pair I made for another car are still holding out.
Cable ties were only a temporary precaution until I'd bonded them in, plus no one had done it before so I wasn't sure how they'd hold up. 1st pair only had cable ties for a couple of weeks until removed...
Artorius looks like a standard 5gtt door card but re covered with the speaker grille removed. The top part looks recovered also as I think that was bare plastic and the lower pocket removed
Depends what you've used them for I guess. If they're full of wax and sealants I'd keep them separate. Normal applicators I put in the sink with washing up liquid rather than the washing machine
If turning the lance on its side affects the mix and gives you a thicker foam then there is an issue with your lance, almost like you're not getting the draw of foam up the feeder tube into the mixer
Avalanche is not the thickest of foams, it won't sit on the car like others but still cleans as well. I like avalanche and even with a poor pressure washer I get thicker than that.
Looking at what's on the floor it looks very watery. Have you experimented with the dilution knob on the top. Yu...
Coby. Pug paint is on the softer side of medium, a little like ford from the few I played with, but not soft like jap / Italian paints.
MatthewR only time I've mixed is when I've added a blob of a proper polish when using something like rejuvenate with DA to help give a little more cut, not...
Mendizmo mine reacted with a spring in the trigger and it went a light shade of pink when I went to use it a month later. It never really changed much more than that. Something seriously wrong with that, I wouldnt put that anywhere near a car.
Adamm try a mild abrasive like a dedicated glass...
It won't give a thick foam like you'd get with a pressure washer, probably similar results to a normal pre spray.
The one linked is a good price, I just use a 1.5litre pump sprayer I got from B&Q
Most of what I see above is equivalent to a week's worth of daily commuting and business miles, and my car is washed every weekend to keep on top of the dirt
The golf, focus, and A4 were / are all decent cars and glad I've owned them, but none of them I really wanted like I did the 182, there is no connection or passion in driving. Contemplated a focus ST2 in asbo orange for a long time but neither car or colour ticked all the boxes. Not even the...
Did you ever try a sample of it? Didn't think it was as nice to use as illusion, looks were just as good but thought it was more fussy about application and cure times. Certainly couldn't be left as long or removed as quick as you could with illusion. I've not known a wax be so flexible
With liquid yellow, if get the correct wax or sealant you just can't believe the depth and glow, as well as the crisp flake pop.
I miss it so much when I see posts like this
mattherR think you're going to struggle to find something that is soo simple and nice to use as well as given all that gloss bar BOS, but as you say using it from a small sample pot seems to ruin the experience a little.
Can't think of any sub £100 that as easy and nice to use other than a used...
I felt that VP neat and 1:1 slowed the sheeting, and I'm sure it's been questioned before as to how LSP safe it is. this has never been the case with citrus power. Try citrus power diluted 1:1, still works very well, more so on a coated car with as little dirt as that
As for 2months worth of...
Hard fact performance, spirit will match shield no problem in all areas.
When it comes down to the application, removal and general use, the joy of actually using a wax then he likes of Zymol and Swissvax are very hard to beat.
Depends how much you like and enjoy waxing
