Using a normal garden hose and not a pressure washer you're not going to get much more in the way of cleaning power. Even with the hose on jet after a good soaking with a good pre wash product you're still not likely to remove much more dirt.
What it will do is soften a lot of the dirt prior to...
Only used AF of the two you mention, but I've always been happy with there products.
For washing, lather, citrus power, obliTARate and iron out are all pretty good products, but maybe opt of Tar-x and Iron-X from CarPro are maybe slightly better performing.
Sticking to one manufacturer is not...
When you look at the basic that you only really need, makes you wonder why I have
3 types of pre wash
3 snowfoams
2 shampoos
2 iron removers
4 cleansers / AIO
4 waxes
7 sealants
4 quick detailers
Etc etc, and that's after thinning down the collection a lot this year.
what have you got already?
AF Lather shampoo when nanolex runs out.
Carpro iron-x
Carpro Tar-x
AF tripple polish
Carpro reload sealant
simple easy to use with good performance kit above should see you well for the time being.

I've used valet pro citrus neat and diluted 1:1 on pretty thick grime and it seems to perform as well as the best I've used. Plan to do a bit more experimenting with dilution rates as the car is so dirty 3 to 4 days after washing there is no water behaviour so will test its abiblity quite well...
Go into your local supermarket and buy the cheapest kitchen cleaner and use the bottle from that, works just as well, not felt the foaming affect has really added much to the product IMO
I struggled to see much difference in durability between carbon, titanium, glasur and concourse over HD Cleanse base. water behaviour varied a little.
I thought it was more in feeland use, and the glossy finish for me
I'm always picking up samples to try, completely forgetting about them and then using them again. Problem is with something like a wax something as simple as getting the wax out of the tiny pots onto the applicator can have a little affect on what they are like to use.
I can list samples I have...
performed better in what way?
I was a little underwhelmed with Glasur of what I remember of it which is why I've picked up another sample pot to see if it were just me.
from a local supermarket, an all purpose cleaner (APC) like daisy from tesco for £1. dilute it down in any kind of spray bottle and spray over affected areas, then wash off as normal.
If not then down to halfords for some autoglym intensive tar remover. this is pretty good at removing, oils...
First came to mind was SV Shield and Zymol concours, concours being my ultimate choice if money was no object but a fraction over your budget at £170.
I thought illusion was lovely in every way bar durability. Desire giving a good amount of the same qualities but with 6 months durability.
At £150 for 30ml I hope it's easy to use and impressive performance.
Curious to see what these give over the more openly available coatings from GTechniq and Carpro etc
Satsuma rock is very soft and oily, spreads forever but can be over applied very easily also. If removed a panel at a time it's ok but I found it tempremental with curing times. Is super glossy but only managed 2 to 3months durability.
22 is a great alround medium after Satsuma rock, it's still...
