Good day of 1/4 mile action at Crail today - nice and dry but bitterly cold. Good to see a few Clio's on the strip today......a W plate silver 172, a 54 plate blue (the lightest one - can't remember the correct name for the colour!) with race stripes 182 (and cliosport window sticker!) and also...
Anyone know how I can get in to a W-reg Clio Grande bonnet that isn't opening by the usual lever? I think the cable that pops the bonnet has snapped or has come off it's catch.
I bought a stainless steel battery cover off of ebay last week for my 182 and it arrived earlier this week.
Has anyone fitted this part before? If so, any tips?
I had one of my xenons stop working. The car went in to Renault and they found that it wasn't the bulb that was knackered - they told me it was the "headlight computer".......whatever that is!
Anyhoo - it got fixed under warranty so didn't bother me with what they said the problem was.
The only difference between the cars other than the mods is mine has done 12k miles and the modded one has done 25k miles. Both were on a 55 plate.
I thought induction kits were meant to suck the cold air in?!?! :argue:
On Sunday I had my Clio 182 rolling roaded at Peugeot Ecosse with the gtiowners club website. (my previous car was a 106 GTi)
I was happy with how it got on giving 179bhp @ flywheel and 137bhp @ wheels. My car is totally standard but the big surprise was it made more bhp than a modified Clio...
One of the bulbs on my 182 is not working. It is the one that is furthest on the right had side of the o/s headlight.....I think it is the xenon one. Is this correct?
If so, how much is a new one from Renault? Is it easy to fit? Or is there somewhere else that may do them cheaper?
Cheers!
Nice one. I quite fancy getting something like this:

Can I retain my steering wheel controls with an in-dash motorised monitor stereo?
I had a similar story with Adrian Flux a few years back. My renewal came in, I then found a much cheaper quote and Adrian Flux then beat it by about £30 so I stayed with them.
I got the same from them this year with my last car but I got 6 months free insurance with my Clio 182 so they...
Re: f**king insurance!
I always find a cheaper quote when searching through confused.com
Also, if you have more than 3 years no claims bonus make a note of the adverts on the TV that "gaurantee to beat your renewal quote" then ring them up and see how you get on.
I've had my Clio 182 for about 3 weeks now and I'm really enjoying it. I've never had cruise control on a car before and enjoy messing with this on motorways and dual carriageways.
When I set the cruise control the speedo needle does not sit at the same speed, e.g. I have to set the cruise...
Full fat, now I get u. lol. I gather my car has the two cup packs - the spoiler one (front lip and rear spoiler) and the stiffer suspension & lightweight coloured alloys one. (feel free to correct me if I have misunderstood these options)
I'm really not sure why the rear bench is so rank - I...
The Clio is going to remain standard due to warranty - hoping to fit a dect so I can hear the standard exhaust tho.
I've no idea why the rear bench is as crappy as it is - one of the questions I was hoping could get answered on this site.
What does FF mean? :o
Where is the best place to buy a decat? I'm planning on fitting it to a standard 182 exhaust system - can this be done? Will any warning lights appear on the dash as a result of this?
I have a Clio 182 and fancy getting the decat for it. My car is a '55 plate - am I best to get the manifold to cat fitting kit or will what's there already be good enough to re-use?
Im Martin, 27 from Edinburgh. I drive a black gold '55 plate Clio 182 with both Cup Packs.
I saw your club stand and Trax and thought I'd better get myself registered with this forum.
