Omex 600 is a good starting point literally because there are a dozen of us with maps we can send you - so a days work to fit the ITB's and load the map and you're running
I'd personally steer clear of the ec-1 thing as the only company that will support it are fairly heavily slated on here...
Does yours have cup suspension?
If so I'm pretty sure you need the firstline ones - the lemforder are too short
Firstline FTR5277 are the ones in my picture
I guess if you're taking the rack off you might as well do the bushes - but if you're having the inner tie rods fitted with the...
The GSF stuff is firstline which wouldn't be my first choice - but next to each other they look identical
And for the price difference I could replace the firstline ones after every track season without any impact on the bank :D
I'd be suprised if the rack bushes need doing - mine had...
Very very true about the "feel" - something warm and silky about them
But - and this is just based on canon here
7D + 70-200 2.8L or 70-300L is a weapon of a motorsport camera. Ridiculously fast AF speed, long reach, good DOF when you need it
To get the same experience from full frame...
Better noise handling, better image quality and shallower depth of field
But you loose reach and everything becomes more expensive
I don't like the way people call Full Frame an upgrade - it entirely depends on what you're shooting
For portraits/weddings etc... I'd definitely want full...
I used to do exactly this - had well over 15 lenses in 3 years, but these days losing 15-20% in ebay/paypal fees is crippling.
It would actually be cheaper to rent a lens for a week before buying it
That's what I'm doing with my next purchase - renting a 70-300mm L for a few events to see if I...
Yep my mate killed his brand new forged 106 lump at Rockingham as he had 1/4 of a tank and no swirl pot - lost fuel coming out the infield through the chicane, but had his foot flat to the floor, bye bye piston :(
As people have said 2nd hand really doesn't help
I paid £1600 for Jenveys + manifold + linkage + fuel rail + throttle cable + ph1 throttle pedal + filters + 90mm trumpets + wiring loom + omex 600
But the little bits add up so quickly, getting a PROPER filter and carbon backin plate was...
Ermmmmmm which car runs mm from bump stops?
That's stupid. Bump stops are there to limit the travel of the suspension, hitting them would catapult you off the road.
I don't run any on my Clio - I don't know why you would bother to be honest.
Nah wouldn't affect the caster - that will most likely be top mounts
It's not out enough to affect it but it's outside the manufacturers tolerances according to that printout :)
Crikey that's an epically straight rear beam - identical camber and toe both sides virtually!
Looks like one of your top mounts might be slightly shot as the castor is a bit out on the left
Such a tidy car! very jealous
My KW V2's came from a mates Clio he was breaking - barely used.
My ITB's came from Riley! who's an old mate and I convinced him to let me buy them off a 182 he was selling
Exhaust is off a lad on here, roll cage came from bomber, seats + steering wheel etc.. from Riley!
In fact the only...
I bought inner track rods from GSF - they came very next day
I know the genuine renault stuff is supposedly better quality but instead of £90 + vat - they were £28 + vat and came next day
The guys at my loca renault couldn't even be bothered to find the part number for them let alone order...
LOL I know DC2 on bodies - yum.
I bought my Clio cos it was a cheap 106 replacement and I didn't plan on modding it. But then started buying bits until got out of hand and ended up a pretty good spec.
If I was starting from scratch - I wouldn't spend £9k again building my car - there's a LOT...
LMFAO yes you have to be poor to think that putting £3k ITB's on a £1500 car is a bit daft when for that money you could go and buy an evo 6, or an integra type r, or any number of better handling cars with lsd's and more power to start with? ;)
Jesus really? How do I have a wideband display with a narrowband?
Because their is a narrowband lambda in the 182 manifold connected to the omex and a wideband lambda before the sports cat connected to a display on the dash
Because you can is EXACTLY the reason to do it :D
And yeah mines...
Ahhh maybe not ...
Looks like it clips to the support frame for the dashboard somewhere
Can't quite work out which way around that is
Dash off fun this weekend :D for about the 6th time in the last year lol
Looking at ebay pics I think the ECU is supposed to clip to the bottom of the column
Feck knows how that would fit though with the plastic surround.
I'm hoping I can fit the adjustor nob where the stereo stalk used to be :D gonna try making a little blank up for it
I was trying to work out where it's supposed to go as it's got like a metal clip on the back of it.. but I'm guessing the 172 dash has a bit more going on than the 1.2 one lol
