Yup, same brakes as a mk1 172 and they had 15s as standard...
Fit 195/50s to get the same rolling radius, cheap as chips for wrecking on the track and what I used to use! ;)
Ok, just uploaded some pics to show you >>>

Ideally you want rapid acceleration with a reasonable top end speed...
My mate has an Escort Cossie rally car, its an ex Ford works car that was used as Colin McRaes reccy car, but has now been de-restricted and tuned up to nearer 400bhp.
That accerelates at a staggering rate, but tops...
I ran mine in as per the handbook, then started to open it up after that and by about 1000 miles I was using all the revs & full throttle, then drove down to Santa Pod and ran the 1/4 mile with about 1250 miles on the clock! ;)
As for oil change, I did mine at 6k miles.
Thats pretty much spot on actually...
182 = 20.6mph per 1000rpm, so at 3500rpm its 72.1mph and close enough, especially seeing as there is speedo error to account for.
They all have slightly different gearing to one another, expect the mk2 172 & Cup, which share the same box.

Cup...
Id have thought so...
Wider tyre, so more contact area on the road and they are a grippier tyre anyway, so even 195s would be better than the Contis!
If Id kept my Cup I was considering this.
Anyway, back to the original question...
Q - Which is faster?
A - V6
Reason - Mk1 does 145mph and the mk2 does 153mph, compared to 138mph for the Cup, so V6 is the fastest of the cars in question, which is what she wanted to know! ;)
Straightline wise, the Cup is a little quicker to 60, a little quicker again to 100 and the in-gear times are marginally faster, all due to weight.
However, the Cup was 2.55secs a lap faster than the mk2 172 round Bedford, which is a combination of both the weight and the suspension...
The 182 without the Cup pack felt mailto:cr@p">cr@p compared to my Cup, so you cant tell me that the 182 with the Cup suspension is "massively" better than a Cup?!
LOL
There are some (addmitedly not many) Pod timing slips in my pile... ;)
Will be down there in the next few weeks to compare the CTR times between York & Pod.
