Yea.
Compare it to 8 years ago.. and all you got was a WindowManager which couldn't do fonts properly.
Compare it to 2 years ago and it's so different too.
However, it's still not "polished" like OSX is.. it's good, but it's just not got the edge IMO (And I think most people agree).
But, in...
Erm, network speed is quoted in bits.. so 11Mb, 54Mb. Wired again 10Mb, 100Mb and 1000Mb. (Not MB)
(I know 802.11n is out pretty much which is much quicker, and also other wired speeds, but I'm using examples :p)

Almost as good as that ;)
OSX, running Windows XP inside Parallels (Coherence mode). ;)
iTunes is the best music player/management of them all.
The good thing about the iPod is, it doesn't matter how bad it is, how good it is, it'll still sell the most and people will still want one. Same with Windows, no matter how s**t Vista is, it'll still sell to most people.. and most people...

Student discount is different to Higher Education.
I think I got 15% off my MBP and then the 3 years free hardware warranty :D
Saved me more than £200 anyway.
Student you can login to the store.. Higher Education, you have to come from a .ac.uk hostmask, so only Uni computers or Uni wireless etc..
Nope, Parallels lets you run Windows in a virtual environment.. but, one feature is Coherence, so it lets you run Windows apps side by side with OSX Apps. Pure genius.

Adium is my favourite app. :)
Use it for Jabber and MSN.
Get AdiumBook also - it creates Address Book items so all your contacts show up as their proper name and not their MSN Display name :) (and, it's all integrated into Mail etc.. then)
Parallels (obviously) and Textmate are two other apps...
