You need Activity Monitor.. to see processes. Spotlight (Apple - Spacebar) and type Activity Monitor

Yea, Parallels works quite well.. next version is supposed to have 3D acceleration in it I think? It sucks at the moment for games.. but that should change I guess?

Yea, HP laptops are nice. Infact, I work with a lot of manufacturers (laptops, servers, pcs) and I reckon HP is about the best all round.. not the cheapest, but probably right up there in terms of quality. Dell are quite good too..
