As KDF says, the better performing tyres are generally a softer compound so dont last as long, and if youre happy with Contis Id stick to them as you wont get more mileage out of other tyres...
Err... the idle is fine, and whilst you may not see much in terms of a peak headline power figure, you will see increased power & torque lower down the rev range, more willing to rev top end and an increased rev range!
The cars running the R-Sport ECUs are also the ones running 14.0 & 14.1 1/4...

Firstly remove the 90 inlet hose to allow more access, then there are just two 10mm bolts that hold the airbox in place, next unclip the side air feed hose (in front of battery), but there is another air feed underneath thats trickier to get at, but a bit of waggling...
Do what it says in the handbook...
