total is an all purpose cleaner, spritz is a finishing product to leave a nice finish, supposed to leave a little protect against dust and UV
http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/auto-finesse-spritz-cat21.html
I've always used the gliptone cleaner and conditioner, still use it now on the sofa. Has always served me well.
tried the autofinesse kit that worked quite well on expensive horse saddle and bridles, bad sold the car with leather seats by the time I got them.
If you're having trouble removing soul and dusting problems I'd look into your methods, how much you apply and how long you leave it to cure. With a lot of waxes it often comes down to user error.
with illusion, it is pretty user friendly as it can be over applied and let on a while with easy...
£30 mark I'd consider vics concours, bouncers 22 or bouncers Satsuma rock. Up from there carbon or passion I like.
at that price mark there are hundreds to try
Hd is very durable so will be hard to beat there, gloss there are lots in a similar price range that will add a little more.
typically gloss and long durability dont often go hand in hand
Give powerlock a go, very pleased with it so far. Z2 is easy to apply, but PL is lovely like I love a nice wax. Seems quite glossy for a sealant and very slick
I love toughcoat, but can't decide if I will be keeping it. Not that the durability is that short, but I find myself needing more.
apart from vics and illusion, all my waxes and sealants are pushing 4 to 6 months.
Buy from carpro direct or i4detailing.
is used to remove brake dust and other iron contaminants and fallout.
can be used on wheels or body. Spray on, leave for the reaction to start. Iron contaminants will start to turn purple, it may require additional product sprayed on if there is heavy...
I never got on with it via DA compared to menzerna, was better with rotary. Great for spot areas by hand. But I can't polish for sh!t so don't take my word for it.
The two you're using have very mild cut, mostly filling and cleaning abilities.
you can step up the cut a little by using some pre wax cleansers, or go for a specific cutting compound like GTechniq P1
General pre wash, car plan rds works fine, especially for the price it was selling in Asda. I typically use citrus power diluted 1:1 with plain water and still works great. Comparing them, citrus power has the edge with bug splatter and baked on grime, general tree sap/ aphids dropping, provided...
Prima slick I've got on with very well, not had any issues with application. Really rate it. Autofinesse finale is a great all rounder. Britemax spray and shine from i4d is over looked. Megs ultimate QD is too bad for a halfords buy.
I think you'll have a clear coat / lacquer finish over the colour. That means that any polishing will only be on the clear coat, not touching he faded paint. Only cure will be a respray.
Have you got autoglym super resin polish, I'm sure everyone has at some point.
a mild cleanser with abrasives will bring it back if it's not too far gone. Look at autofinesse tripple on their website where they did a 50:50 comparison on a red golf bonnet.
if it's worse than start with a...
To remove swirls with correction, you are removing very fine amounts of clear coat, as you say microns. It's nothing more than ultra fine sanding in its basic form. 150m is a decent level to play with. 30-40 is worryingly low.
Are you using it by hand or machine? I guess you have access to a...
Not used the pro versions, but compared to other ddj soft waxes and SNH it's firmer in consistency, but a little oilier. For that it spreads a little further using less. It tends to hold its rich colour a little longer as well. Water behaviour and durability lasts just a little longer also, but...
finale is a good all round QD IMO. IS pretty easy to use, cleans well, removes hard water spotting and general water marks. and brings back a little extra beading too
Zaino Z6 and Prima slick are also good QD's that I've used.
