Yep as Tom said - home sharing makes your music appear on all your devices - or I'd recommend the iCloud Match service It puts all your music in the iCloud on your account - then you don't have to have it on your iPad/iPhone - but when you want it you can stream it from iCloud or download it...

I've got 3 now - utterly superb 2tb of movies/tv in a network drive - itunes running on my office mac mini - can watch all the movies/tv in 1080P HD on any of the 3 tv's in the house. It's a must have!

I doubt you'd get £600 for it mate - not being a 13" I just sold a 15" macbook pro 2.8ghz with 8gb of ram for £520. I suspect you'd get more around the £500 mark
