yes but the power of the lamp is at 12v it's output will be higher at 14v so I = P/V I=55/12 I= 4.58A at 12v R=V/I R=12/4.58 R=2.62 ohms is lamp resistance so apply 14v to 2.62 ohms I=14/2.62 I=5.34A at 14v

umm i think you find the resistance of the lamp will always be the same so you apply a higher voltage you will get increased current ffs you cannot have learned much on your uni course
