Just get the garage to change them as bleeding/labour charges we only be a fraction cheaper than if they were to fit them.
Plus even driving at walking speed if a child/pet runs out!!
Thats normal in the passenger arch iirc the drains from below the scuttle panel come out near there. unless the header tank or heater matrix hoses are split/leaking
Solid top mounts and a fully polybushed clio on british roads is a no no imo lol unless you have a spine made of steel..:D ideal for track though.
Wishbone bushes again are a good call providing they are fitted correctly and the sleeves are welded in...
I polybushed my ARB yesterday and tbh it was a pain in the arse to do! don't get me wrong it feels loads better and for the price of polys to the price of standard items the polys are the best bet plus last longer.
Clutch is mis- aligned done it myself before. All went together fine with a bit of a wiggle got in the car no gears had to strip it back down and re align
it.
Also when you took the box out did you undo the sleeve part of the linkage or pulled the rubber boot off and undo the 13mm nut and...
If it was there in the first place then i would have used them tbh. But that won't cause the knocking. I would say something hasn't been done/tightened correctly. Or the ball joint is a duff one.
Can't you just get some made upto the length you need??
