what are they 90a alternators? what with loses that is around 1kW. so he would have to have a very big system to actually kill the batt(i havent yet im running a 1kW amp at 1.1kWish).
yes when you get to the limit of the alt you can get arcing at the brushes inside which cause radio...
to be honest i dont like the look of those cables(the way they are terminated and the size looks a bit suspect)
40a worth of fuses should really be 8 awg(fecking yanks)

ok that is one idea but im pretty sure he already has one:p ;)
i myself would sell it on e-bay/in local paper and just uprate the big three
if the connection is maked on/acc then you will just need a piece of thin wire from the amp remote, so it switches on the display at the same time as the amp.
but you dont have to connect it up its just for show
yeah you would need to run wires from the speaker output from the hu to the amp then back from the amp to the speakers.
i havent changed the cable going to my door speakers but it depends on the amount of power you are putting into them.

so i basically wire them up as the pic shows which would give my amp a 4ohm load??
yes it will give you 4 ohms (better for your amp) if you buy the 4+4 ohm subs
if you are going to get two get the 4+4 ohm ones.
then connect the voice coils in series then the subs in parallel. this will give you 4 ohms to wire bridged to the amp
