What kind of hassle are we talking if I was to swap the engine? Im getting prices of over £600 to do the belt, head etc.
How much roughly is a 2nd hand engine and do I need to swap ECU, keys etc??
cheers!!
Cheers guys,
Ill wait and see what damage is then. Could go down new engine route but at least if I fix current engine then i'll know that its rock solid(rather than starting all over again with another unknown engine). It was a pretty decent engine before this mishap. Always been serviced...
Timing belt snapped on my Ph1 172 and im really just looking for advice as to what to do next. My mates garage has confirmed its def the belt thats failed and is taking the head off as we speak.
Now,
Am I best just to get any any bent valves replaced (or whole 16?) and put a Timing belt...
The camber is far more positive compared to what it was.
Im not sure how much postive it is because I havent measure it yet.
Im not sure what could have been fitted incorrectly? Its only the top mount bolt and the two on bottom that attach the shock to the hub that were removed.
ok, no probs.
Another question then if I may. I recently put 4 new shocks and eibach sportlines on my car and the camber is now far more positive than before. Its really noticeable.
Is it the case that the old shocks were so far gone and the new ones are nice and tight that it would change...
Quick question, My Ph 1 172 is totally standard. Is there any way of adjusting the camber on the front??
I know you cant do it via the shocks but is the hub its self adjustable?? or the wishbone like a VW??
Cheers!
Does anyone have any experience of these?? Seemingly they replaced the eagle F1 that is on my car atm.
Im really struggling to get tyres and these seem to be the only ones any of the local places have in stock!!
Im getting quoted a wait of over a week for PE2s
Cheers!!!
