Hi Folks. I have a few of these pop clips which have broken. They hold the interior B Pillar trim on.
Ive had a quick look online and can’t seem to find them. Anyone got any sources ?
cheers !
Just caught up on this. What a cool wee car, in superb nick. A real credit to you.
Small things like the no sticky plastics make a huge difference in my opinion.
Sounds like the Airbag light is the problem and the SERV light is just the secondary issue.
I had the Airbag and SERV light on, in my car and a new Rotary switch on the steering column resolved the issue.
Personally, I’m not very mechanically minded so I was happy to let the professionals...
Ive certainly noticed water getting in via my side bump strips when ive had the rear door cards off too. I think that is just the design to be honest and what the drain holes in the door and rear arch\sill area are for. There has never been any standing water so I assume the drains are doing...
As long as the gearbox isnt leaking oil all over your drive, id be tempted to leave it as is. I think the term is "They all do that Sir" ha ha. My gearbox is wet when I look under the car but it has never once dropped a bit of oil on my drive.
A nice unmolested Cup has the potential to reach...
With regards to the SERV light, it should only be on in combination with another warning light such as Airbag etc. My advice is dont waste your time guessing and changing parts to try and get the light off. Take the car to someone who has CLIP and they will be able to diagnose properly and...
Car looks good, will be interesting to see your progress. You have done well to find such a low mile original car.
The plug is for the Accoustic valve I think mate. It is part of the air intake system and is located just above the passenger front wheel arch.
I actually have Depo lights on...
Busy weekend for the Cup. Helping @Euan Baguette drop his Clio Racecar to its new owner on Friday night then an early start on Saturday for a trip to GlenCoe to take on a few Munros. Unfortunately the weather wasnt playing ball so canned the Munros and did a lower level run out to Kinlochleven...
Looks like a nice example, any more pics?
That style of exhaust doesn't suit the 1*2 but that's my opinion only.
When it comes to Mods, I suppose its all about finding the right balance. The Cup is great out of the box but I think there are always small improvements that can be made to a mass...
Hi,
Yeah, Unfortunately one person's idea of good condition can be drastically different from another persons. Im afraid you just have to view as many cars as you can or like you have asked, hope that a forum member can point you in the direction of a "known quantity"
I like 197s myself...
There are a number of Renault breakers on e bay and Instagram. I got mine from a local RenaultSport Breaker.
The track is wider on RS cars so the arch liners are wider ( I think )
I had a Mk1 VTS a long time ago. It was a great wee car. They are very similar to Clios from what I can remember.
I'm sure you will get great satisfaction from all the work you are doing!
