I think off-the-shelf chips, in the same league as superchips etc should be taken very lightly with a pinch of salt. I've always been in favour of custom ECU's mapped to the car. Its the only accurate way of knowing you are getting every you should.
Amir,
A custom remap would be much more beneficial than an off the shelf and will be properly setup for your needs. BenR at AngelWorks or Andy at GDI could do this for you.
The open IK is most likely slowing you down, have a browser through the forum and see what different airboxes people are...
I wouldn't say its rubbish but its far from ideal. As stated above a quick throw shifter will reduce the amount of travel and hopefully improve things a little. I broke a dog-bone mount at the nurburgring in mine, it was like changing gear in mud coming home.

Thankfully as the sportier cars become cheaper, i.e. mk1 172, this opens them up to you in...
I had to replace a caliper on mine and even flushing the brake fluid and changing disks and pads it still did it. I'd double check wheel alignment, tyres, tread levels and pressures too.
{Edit} I have had a similar problem on the Mini, albeit the Mini braking system has a front/back split bias...
The way I've got round this in the past is as follows:
Find someone already insured with them, ask them to phone up and add lowered suspension to policy - if this all goes ok...
Call them and get a policy based on all mods except suspension, then a few months after, fit your suspension and...
