So basically the best mod on a 172 is a 182 manifold and high flow cat/adapter for a 172 system?

So the extra 10bhp on the 182 comes from the manifold itself or manifold and exhaust system?

Hi there, I desperately need new alloys for my 172 as a pot hole has written one of them off. I was thinking of changing them for either cup turinis or grey 182 alloys. How much should I be paying for the 182 alloys in decent condition? Will they fit straight onto my 172? Kinda giving up hope...

I have decided to sell my 172, need something bigger and a diesel so it's going. I have a 9 month old stainless exhaust on (ktec stealth). Is it worth selling this seperately and finding a standard one or shall I just leave it on? Cheers.

Going to go with JAM Sport I think for the inlets.

Inlets are not exactly that expensive though are they? £170 at Angelworks.

So Angelworks are the best for inlets? Do they need to keep my inlets or do they just swap them out? They are not too far from here so i'll take a look.

It has gone up 2-3 mpg. It is a lot smoother through the rev range although the 5k kick is tuned down after the map.

Reading about Angelworks it seems they have a dodgey rep. Been reading about people getting messed around etc?

Big difference! It drives like a completely different car. It was noticeably quicker than my mates 172 after the tuner where they were bang on level before.

KTEC are doing the PTFE's and inlets for £245 fitted. Any good?

PTFE gaskets? Can I have these done with the inlets? How much are we talking overall for the v6 air box mod? The ducting is around £15-20, box £60 from renault or £15-20 from a scrappy then the samco elbow? How much are these? Is it best to lose the front fog and run the pipe down into that...

I don't want to blow loads of cash on it in all honesty. I was thinking £500. Matched inlets are £190 I believe at JMS - is there anywhere decent near the Midlands that does this? In terms of the air setup is the v6 airbox worth the hassle? Or just a K-Tec panel in the standard box?

Well if I went down the cams route I wouldn't anything aggressive or thirsty. Do cams not cost over a grand with a map?

My mate reckons the Brembo's are over rated? EBC discs? Where is the best place to get these from?

My 172 has just failed it's MOT due to front brake inbalance. I was thinking of upgrading the front discs and pads anyway. I believe Brembo HC's and Fedoro DB2500's are what people are raving about at the moment? Seem a bit pricey?

I like the look of the K-TEC recessed. The only difference I can see between mine and the recessed is the backbox? Can I ask KTEC to change it or is it best to just flog my stealth?
