Found out why it was idling bad, I'd forgotten to plug in the throttle sensor!
Anyway, set of good used coils arrived through the post this afternoon, so I whipped the UIM off, fitted them, and rebuilt it...
New coils, even look in better nick than mine did...
Well, it feels like...
Rear is standard, without BS marks though as I had it made on eBay. Front is a small jobby, UK legal font but with sod all white around it. He was moaning ANPR would struggle with it. Doesn't bother me, I haven't passed an ANPR van in years.
I hear you there, I do the same. A family friend who's a bobby was picking fault with it the other day, just told him I don't drive in his s**t county anyway!

I can just see the tiny disclaimer hidden in the guarantee somewhere... "For show use only". I'd want 1300kgs or whatever it weighs on more than a few threads per stud too personally.
LOL, love the clowns this thread is bringing out. I've got some more coils and an ignitor on the way. Hopefully that fixes it, f**k buying a new wiring loom.
The pads were barely worn after 10k. The EBC discs they were clamping on however were fucked. Might as well have been running grinding discs for brake pads.
