It's worse than it was before. Coughs and splutters on idle once warm now on top of the original misfire. Going to try and get a known working set of used coils and a known working igniter chip, and try that.

You'd have been better off getting air in from behind the stone guard/hub, so it can come out through the disc and cool the whole lot properly. More time and effort, but it's the better way to do it.
It's nice having good friends with decent cars. The 15 is a nice drive, stiffer standard compared to a 14a, but the chassis is braced more, and it has the Helical Diff too.

Never had any issues with Magnecors before myself. They're easier to get than OEM ones too I imagine, and I bet they're cheaper.

Well I've not read anything to that effect, so I just stuck with what the factory recommends. After all, it should be a stock engine so it shouldn't be blowing the spark out with those. We'll see what happens.
