Ive tried before to gauge interest in a group buy of LSDs for the 172/cup from quiafe before without much success. From speaking to them last time i think they wanted around 20 orders before they would make a 172 LSD. Given that there are now alot more member of this forum than last time i asked...

problem working this out is that acceleration is not uniform

after this has been fitted to a car can it then be fitted to another 172 or once registered to a car is it somehow locked re alarm and imobaliser etc? If it can be re used im going to get one as if I want to change my plans at a later date its not a total loss.

renault uk once called me to ask me about a service id just had, I gave them so much grief they ended up hanging up on me, but 2 days later i got a cheque for compensation

we will have to wait for someone to take a 182 to the dragstrip to see how it compare, and as you say will most likely be in the same range as the 172s

the cheaper price of the cup helped them shift alot more of them than they would have done 172s SALES not marketing

what gains would you expect from just doing the inlet manifold?

may be MOT friendly but going that route will cost you alot more, Id rather put up with the MOT hassle, either swoping back or finding some friendly place. + the best sports act in the world wont give the same gains as a decat

Just like to add that the orbisound race exhaust as used on the cups is 76mm, so Im happy that i went with the 70mm system and not the 63.5 mm one

The supersprint I have is 70mm, but from what im told they no longer sell this only the 63.5mm one. The exhaust is very loud and would be no good if you spend much time on the motorway.

to start with id only looked at the bhp and now that i look at the torq the figures look all wrong. It shows standard to be over 170 and after it to be over 180. the bhp standard line also starts at 0rpm

just looking at that graph both the before and after seem to show peak power and much lower rpm than expected

are the windows all fully shut no small gap ?

my 4k rattle was while accelerating through, holding or dropping back down past 4000rpm

had my 172 just over 2 years was one of the 1st mk2 172s a rare site when i got mine, was much better back then as no one new what it was well not untill id beaten them

seems odd that they claim they are doing lots of conversions but I can only remember 2 forum users posting who had had it. new business plan - charge 2k for a dyno run on my rollers showing your car now has 200bhp.

Just to add I have the same exhaust as Dogmaul and I have had no problems what so ever. btw the 2nd lambda sensor aint going to be reporting any errors as its not pluged in. there was no warning light complaining it had been disconected so i see no circumstances now where the light can come on...

its a 50L tank but most ive ever got in after running 25 miles on red light was 46L
