viper doesnt lose power, panel filter is ok, but otherwise as said closed induction kit viper or maxogen pending on the depth of your pockets, whatever you choose gains will be very small. as for exhaust where you from? best to go custom as the fit is best, use the 'search' for exhausts/tailpipe...
also got the v2's, very happy with them, got a trackday l8r this month so il be doing some tinkering, not sampled the bilstein tho. but if your getting 'samples' either would be good eh
couple of 'decent blokes' who dont know much about exhausts. my first was a k-tec catback (never sat straight), then after recomendation i got my first prospeed (looked/sounded great but i got 2" bore as i didnt know any better), after being informed i had another from charlie @2.5" and the...
if you can get 4 pots for close to the same money as replacing everything else why not eh, Freds hispec development kit which uses the standard disc size was £600 i think.
if your car feels quicker than it was before your mods then its not to bad, your going to get very little gains from induction & only a catback, but the chip has obviously helped, as the forum wil tell you the rs is expensive to get real gains, it helps to have a target & budget to start, then...
ta Fred, silly question but to be sure if for example 'if' i used a seat ibiza 4 pot caliper on the 172 would i then have to use a brake pad from a seat ibiza to fit it? to fabricate mounting brackets what guestimate of cost?
http://www.eliseparts.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=166&products_id=573 as i know little about brake kits..if it is possible, what modifications would be needed to fit the rs? what other 4 pot kits from other cars eg seat/fiat would fit or need minor mods? eg...
£6-700 is a reasonable cost for ppl on here imo, theres not many 4 pot kits for the rs & most are silly money, the brembro kits are 1-1.5k depending on what pads/discs are used, a kit that uses the oem discs like Freds hispec developement kit should sell really well as it will be the only one so...
tb's give 30-40lbft ish & 50bhp ish, so not bad for the money, hardly a soft kit either. roamers standard 172 ran 212bhp & 170lbft after tb's were fitted, so with a few other mods good results are to be had.
