trouble is with the roadsports (fixed height) on the car at the mo, it is too low. ive had to weld a plate over the exhaust as it was wearing on all the speed humps round here, also the intercooler pipes are catching, il be changing them for silicone ones later. i need more adjustment, tired of...
its not the ride quality m8, its just that its too low, the Avo roadsport which is on the car is fixed height, ive had to weld a plate over the exhaust for now as it catches all the speedhumps round here, also the intercooler pipes catch, they will be changed for silicone later, but driving like...
Bump! its defo down to the KW's or Avo, 2 Live, or anybody else know how much the Avo Evolution kit lowers by? various online places that sell them seem to have different figures, even the Avo website isnt clear, il ring them if nobody knows eh..
as ali says, dust! turned my silver rs brown permanantly, great pads tho even for road driving, took mine off to try the ds2500 which were dissapointing in comparison. if your keeping the rs for a while id opt for a 4 pot kit, like the shedmotorsport compbrake setup.
'messed with' some have a go laptop hero, best left to the pros. good to hear its sorted. get some vids up...and dont be puting any music over the top of the tb's! ;)
ya mk1 rs ET43. depending on your ride height/alloy size for any rubbing. trophy is ET45. i would only go as low as ET36 (valver/willy alloy offset, also in 15"x7"). or ET45 in 16" (trophy).
once mapped it should stay mapped. if its self learning, at what point does it finish 'learning' everything? if you throw in a couple of chinese proverbs as well does it become fluent in chinese in 3 weeks?
waste of money, had one on the rs, felt great to start with, after a few months it was getting really tiresome changing gear. i took it off & started to enjoy changing gear again, standard suited me better as i dont yank the stick about like im changing the points at a crossing.
power claims on mine are sketchy, reckon 240, getn rr soon, but its easily controlled, not had any trouble on the road upsetting ego, scoob & porsche drivers. goin for the charger then almaghrbi? ;)
kw v2 has damping adjustment. there is a variant 3 for the rs, k-tec used to sell it but it was pricey and really for those who would do a lot of trackdays. had mine setup perfectly for the road, firm, no bounce or roll, car was sharp with plenty of 'feel', on track i notched it up slightly but...
had the kw v2 on my rs, plenty of adjustment, very good on track. i think the h&r are a little soft for regular trackdayers. there are only a couple of people on here to my knowledge that have tried the kw's, maybe its the price or lack of reviews? got mine second hand. im looking at kw's for...
I plan to chop out the number plate area on the valver, for better cooling, i need to mesh out the whole front section to protect the intercooler/engine. i was looking at 'lockwood' mesh, anybody used it? or recomend something, open to ideas, id like something sturdy (needs to be cut with wire...
