I think you will be able to pick a speed signal up from the electrical connector on the speedo cable (dash end). Might be simpler than picking it up from the ECU. I am unsure which pin the speed signal is sent through I will try and find out. Paul

Bleed the air out the system by turning lock to lock a few times. Common thing is for PAS fluid to seep from the small pressure relief hole in the top of the cap. Due to excess fluid or air. Noisy pumps are commonplace. Paul

OK, Ive got it - its finally being delivered tonight. I checked with Renault and its was produciton number 308 of 308 and remained unregistered for a couple of yrs....it was first regd in 1998 on a R. Its coming tonight so will get some pics. Done 4k miles and damaged in the front. Paul
