Rich,
- Remove the dash top (black part) 5 torx screw if I recall right.
- Remove oil guages carefully
- The blubs are in recesses in the oil dials pod - little black things which need turning out with a long nose pair of pliers.
- Refit is reverse of removal.
I have a set of Williams...
Hi All,
Sorry for posting here, I cant post in the meetings forum as Im not a member.
I will be attending Trax this year hopefully in the Lotus. Would be nice to put some names to faces from here, so if any of you are passing the Autobahnstormers stand, poke your nose in ask for me. I will...
I do try Paddymph!
Well I thought if anybody wants the use of the trailer at v reasonable rates (IMO) then I can certainly help out.
However, I must point out that the trailers are not available for hire - I tried that once and everytime they came back damaged, winches wound up poorly etc...
I have skipped through this topic, but am interested in the basics of it. Can someone email me or PM me, just outlining how this topic came about?
If it is any help, I can transport a car - I have 2 car trailers and 2 tow vehicles, so if anyone requires a car taken somewhere (seemed to get...
Funny this - I can recognise cars in the dark from the shape of the headlights.
10/10 in the day no problem.
And 9/10 in the night - we was having a go at it the other night, and from quite a way, I correctly identified a LDV van (the ones the post office use) by the shape of its headlights...
You are obviously from the same ilk as myself.
Althought my business is very new, so the vehicles used are unfrotuantely not that clean most of the time! Just dont get time.
The lotus is ALWAYS clean tho :-)

Loss of water is a problem. The heat will not affect the water level. Its a closed, pressurised system so evaporation is out of the question.
Air locks are a common occurence on many Rens I have experience of, thus giving a "false" level in the bottle - important particularly in this weather...
Somthing is amiss, if the oil temp is too high. 100 deg C is about right for "normal" driving. I was going to suggest, as Ben did, changing the senders. But since this made no difference, have the oil pressure tested properly, by mechanical means. This should give you an idea of whether the...
Check the middle relay in the group of 3 identical ones in the aux fuse box under the bonnet (near the n/s turret)
Take it out, and replace it with another one.
Had this very problem a couple of days ago.

Alex,
Your symptoms are suggestive of big end bearing failure or partial failure. It will only get worse and will probably cease up completely within the next few miles.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but seen it many times before. Do you keep plenty of oil in it?
Can not tell...
Does anyone know where I can get a CD or even a paper version of a Renault parts catalogue for the Clio 16v / Williams (or that shape at least).
Be most grateful for any info.
Thanks
Paul
Hats off to Epic for being an honest motorist.
It also shows how naive insurance companies are!
I dont have a solution for you epic other than sell the induction kit and keep the standard airbox - you will gain anything from the kit apart from a nice noise - which is up to you whether thats...
I usually sell them for £20 - but they usually sell with the bonnets - only if the bonnet is damaged beyond repair do I sell them separate.

Rhys,
I am building a good number of contacts in the world of salvage. If you email me the chassis number, the reg number and any other distinguishing marks about the car (email them, dont post on here) I will keep my eyes very peeled. This sort of thing makes me sick.
This is the reason I...
Hi All,
Could someone please provide me with as many of the 3 digit colour codes as possible for the early clios. I know the sports blue is 449 but thats the limit of my knowledge Im afraid.
Be most grateful. The code can be found on the VIN plate.
Thanks
Paul
