After reading the latest Autocar and seeing there cheap fast cars section i saw a bit about the valver and williams. It says the valver has 90% of the thrills yet is a lot cheaper to own!
After realising its not an insurance nightmare i am now looking to get one, as a go between with my...
I have a new found passion, rallying.
What i want to know is there any good amateur rally championships you guys no of? Also what would i need and what rules do i need to adhere to to make a Cup group n spec. Many thanks.

Or so i thought, it was actually a Civic Sport in black with a smaller version of the CTR wheels!
The baseball hat wearing bloke had a mate in with him and he was making some stupid over taking moves, so of course, i followed suit. It was actually pretty damn quick, so at this moment in time i...
Now i know mytyres.net is the best place for buying them but the thing is asfaik i dont have the equipment to fit these tyres if i got them, i also know theres a risk in damaging the wheels when fitting tyres. Can someone explain where or how they fit them?
Otherwise where is generally the...
I know a couple of the 1.2 boys have had their cars rolling roaded, have any of you had it done whilst standard to compare? Mines being checked (for free wahey!) this afternoon, wondering how close they are to the 75bhp. Whats the ATWs and flywheel figures.
Cheers

Theyve fixed my car in under a day, spanking! I had to book it in last week and they told me its a 3 week wait so looks like i jumped the queue :)
Bye bye 172
Hello 1.2!
The saga continues with 1.2s..
My warning light for the exhaust emissions came on last night (flashing) which i presume is a cat related problem. The car felt like it was running on 3 cylinders and was really hesistant and shaky when not moving, like a diesel Transit van. Could lack of urgency...
I understand the Cup uses Laguna brakes (front and rear or just front?), is this just discs and calipers or is there more to it? Do the laguna brakes reduce or add to weight? Also how big are the discs on both the Cup and 172.
Cheers

I filled my 1.2 (2002) up with some optimax yesterday and today have noticed that my trip computer says i have a 485 mile range but normally its 405 miles when full. My normal gauges needle is sitting above full!
Has anyboys suffered the same?
Cheers,

I took a whole 4 pictures at the r-tec meet, and have put them up if anyone wants a look. If anyone needs their r-tec pictures hosted just email them to me. Cheers.

Im getting fed up with how my car deals hard braking. I am impressed by the brakes bite and overall stopping power but when pushing down hard it tramlines badly and gets twitchy, reminding me of a cup in the wet. Has anyone solved this with good tyres or do you think its down to the gizmos...
How fast are these?
I was driving early today in my freshly cleaned car so i think he must of mistaken me for a 172 as my cars black (looks colour coded if you squint!). He kept trying to pull away but my little clio snapped him up round the bends/roundabouts. Id also like to say the 1.2s...
Being quite fussy i want my front numberplate to fit into the actual plate recess rather than overlapping, anyone know of a good company who can do smaller plates?
Any ideas on how much alloy refurbing costs?
My front left is really bad..
I wont be able to get it done until next month so dont take the piss at the r-tec meet please!! lol!
I was driving back from the gym last night in my clio (2002 model) on slightly damp roads and i was impressed by the road holding of the tyres. The previous dry weekend there wasnt as much grip at all. Has anyone experienced this? Have the tyres been made to work better in crappy conditions or...
Anyone know how good these cars are?
Ive just been out on a drive on my favourite set of roads in kent and i overtook one just after a chicane style bend (i thought it was a mondeo at first!). He then overtook on the next bit of straight, obviously i didnt bother giving chase. They didnt...

From the CSMA:
"the end result is a hot hatch drivers dream. "
"so forget about the mini cooper s. Clios contender is faster on the straights, steers more predictibly on the throttle, is less fidgety and stops better".
"The message is clear. Boy racers of the world: unite - at your local...

Im looking for a clever chap to tell me how hard it would be change suspension, anti roll bars..you know everything chassis wise from the 172 on to my run of the mill 1.2? Can it be done..if so..what do i need component wise? I was thinking i could start with the 172 springs and dampers so my...
Has anyone got this grille on their clio yet?

Ive just ordered one and was wondering if anyone had pics of it on a black clio??
Cheers,

I understand you will be doing a carbon fibre engine cover for the 172, if you havent already. Will their be anything like that for the lesser models? Even if theyre just colour coded covers/oil caps with k-tecracing decals?
I think this would be a cool addition to the engine bay(?)
