i'm debating breaking my 172 cup and tried to guesstimate what stuff would go for. are these close to ball-park?

i've got an iomega prestige hdd that's gone a bit noisy. i don't know if it's been banged about or if it was because i put the wrong power adaptor into it. (right voltage, wrong amps.)
i can read data off it but it's very very slow. i've backed up the important stuff. i'm not fussed about losing...
from reading reviews i've found:
toshiba is smaller - 13.4 x 9.4 x 0.8-1.1 = av.119 cubic inches; dell is 13.9 x 10.3 x 1.3 = 186 cubic inches
toshiba has larger touchpad and better stubby mouse control thing
dell has slightly curved keyboard + more comfortable
dell looks better
I pulled out onto a roundabout today. The end.
Bigger than a mini roundabout, it had a kerbed centre. As I pulled onto it to turn right I could see a car pulling onto it from the opposite side. He went hammering round the roundabout and slammed his brakes on and sat on his horn, despite being...
what's all this wrongness? i'm not implying i've been cut up or anything, it's just the only thing of any remote interest that i've recorded on my camera in a month!
edit: i've started leaving it on when i pop into the shops, in case it picks anything up. it never does :(

ignore the stated delivery cost, he only charges a normal fee, 8-10 quid or something
i've always wondered something actually, and this vid illustrates it perfectly. the car that pulled on from the left was already on the roundabout before i entered it. who has right of way?
i think breakers will only warrant the box and not any labour charges. i'm not sure where you stand legally though, go have a read on consumeractiongroup.co.uk
gearbox was alright. i probably only did about 25% of the removal as i was learning from the chap that was helping, but i fitted it...
I feel your pain. I had a refurbished gearbox fitted which developed a fault after a couple of months. The re-refurb was free but it did mean another gearbox change. Thankfully me and a chap from the forum fitted it the second time around on the drive. It's a risky business buying a gearbox or...
battery died again today. going to charge it and see how it goes. getting close to selling it now, should be looking for a replacement at the end of the month
not really an excuse to just pull out though. seems like there's conditions they have to meet (indicate for a while before pulling out etc) anyway i found this rather long discussion on the issue. i've only read a couple of posts so far
