I have a feeling that the ecu has the same function set in both the 172 and cup, so if there is an aircon system, and its plugged/wired in itll work, otherwise the ecu takes no notice of it and does nothing about it.
Dino
Dont go with a green induction kit, in fact dont go with any open induction system on the 172
Under bonnet temperatures are high, and you dont want that in your intake airflow, so only consider a viper or bmc cda
And Prima..... Hmmm well personally Id steer well clear of them, theyre...
Erm £818 FC for the 172 full quota of NCB, can do virtually any mods to it I want, including my throttle bodies conversion.
Just over £1k FC for the williams, no ncb (Second car bollox).
Oh and Im 30 and live in a quiet (ish) spot.
Ive got it!!!!
Its damn good, BUT the disc you get with it doesnt (well at least it didnt) include the TMC radio frequencies... now the install is setup to receive TMC (Traffic message channel) and this is transmitted over Classic FM nationwide, and its not reliant on the cd/radio headunit -...
Well, I can say that I went to PowerEngineering twice, about 5 months apart, different guys operating but the same RR unit (2wd one) and got the same peak bhp output and torque....... now you cant say that they fiddled it on the second run can ya?
And those two runs were in different ambient...
Its not an optimum changer indicator, it just comes on either 250 or 500 rpm before the rev limiter cuts in, nowhere near optimum, just look at a torque graph from a 172/cup and then find the change points
The only ya going to be hittin the limiter is to hang on balancing it through bends...
You tried autotrader? Ive just found this one by me

Looks like Naples red too..... lurrrrrrvly colour :D
Hmmmm nice idea..... maybe they can adopt it for the 175/180 thats gonna come out, whatdya think jeremy?
(Oh and if they wanted it in ccs they have 1998 on the side strips LoL)
LoL He could just drop it back to the dealers saying some creases have appeared in the roof and the windscreen has cracked, and therefore he wants reject the car LoL, Id love to see the reaction on the faces LMAO
The other ecu reset trick is to turn key to pos 2 (all lights) then drop accelerator to the floor 5 times, then turn off for 30 seconds or more, Im sure this originally came from simon(?) when he got a different ecu, but it seemed to work for me if mine was acting up a bit
Maybe its all in my...
Well, I would guess a bit too much speed into craner curves and maybe a bit of "last minute" correction (too late), cos he must have gone sideways into the gravel trap for it to have rolled
I was soooooooo tempted to go and jump in my Williams and get on that track :devilish:
Good day..... shame about the guy rolling right near the end of the session...... oh well, Im sure Mr Mitchell is tracking it down right now ;)
Well, maybe at the next one Ill be able to go out in my...
Yup it did :D I cant remember at the wheels figures, but Power Engineering has such a good rep for their RR (And their people, they dont talk sh*t, theyll just tell yit a how it is good or bad)
But now its just lucky that it fires up at all LoL
But soon its be a different story, oh yes Raaaaaaaa
Hang on, thats not got some buttons or controls just infront of it on a flat panel? if so thats the navigation pod
Or if not then just ignore my jibberings
Bryan what you on about..... it can release approx 250 horses without going to a charger of some sort, ok maybe they aint general mods, but they do exist
Well guys, I dont know the details of it yet, but in the latest pGTi magazine on the Prima Racing ad (P.21) they are offering .....
200bhp Engine conversion Inc. computer re-map £1250 fitted.
Anyone know about it?
