i did mine, its easy to do your self, remove the trim by unscrewing the 4 retaining screws (note 4!) and they prize the dages off, there will be small holes left where the badges were held on, blob a little bit of filler on there, enought so that it pokes through the holes, blob the ends from...

when i renew my pads, i want to renew the brake fluid as its a worthwhile job, how much of a pain is this to do on a clio 16v? BenR, any advice you could offer would be much appreciated, Im planning to use DOT4 fluid and the hill power pads, (which the name has escaped me)
any suggestions...
Ben, yeah, the frenchay to keynsham/bath ring road, get up there its fantastic,
i think i will bleed the brakes and fit some uprated pads, which should give me more direct improved braking.
they were put under exceptional stress, the incident was on the ring road between frenchay and lomgwell green, where its dual carriagway and roundabouts every mile or so, I was constantly flat out up to 125 then hard back down to get round the round abouts, on the 8th or 9th roundabout i...
i had a long race with a heavily modded suzuki swift GTi earlier, and i had to bottle it because i started to lose loads of brake power, this is Brake fade i assume? caused by the discs/pads getting very hot, i wouldlike to resolve this, preferably using the standard discs, anyone (Benr...
metal valves are stress, they corrode and the rubber perishes in the same way as normal valves so they do need replacing as regularly (when new tyres are fitted) i can get tiny little black rubber valves cheaply, thats what i have got on mine and you can hardly see them anyway, if any one wants...
thin snipe nose pliers or two small screwdrivers and a pair of mole grips, stick them in and turn, what you culd do once they are off is cut a groove down the middle and then it can be opened with a flat head screwdriver, they arent the most dsirable wheels so i wouldnt worry to much about them...
your f***ed, but your equaly as f***ed if i did with fully comp, but if it came to it and i racked my clio (inevitble) i would rather have a sh*t fast car that i can still insure rather then a few grand for a bottonm of the range car that would be the only thing i could insure, own fault claims...
always TPFT or TP only mate, fully comp is pointless, they would probably give me 2 grand for my car and i would pay that back within a year in increased premiums
im 21 now last year when i was 20 i insured my 16v for £910 TPFT with no NCD and that was a real struggle to get it that low, this year with 1 year NCB i got a quote the other day to get an indication and elephant came up with £570!!! there is light at the en of the tunnel.
