I think l'm sticking with my 182 Cup after pricing up an Evo and an STi...too much to run at the mo for me :(
Went to see a couple today and whilst driving my Cup was screaming 'Why sell me?!'
So...l have a 182 Cup with 20k on the clock and it runs perfectly.I'm not looking to change...
I hate my 182 Cup steering wheel ! Its too big and after only 20k its going a bit 'funny' where l grip it !
What options do l have to improve it (some sort of covering?) or a new wheel which has connections for all the switches?
No...not performance wise but running costs !!!!
I would love an Evo 7 in yellow so checked out costs etc.It is f***ing unbelievable!!
In two years of having my Cup its done 10k and had one main dealer service which was £196.The brakes are good, hardly any tyre wear and maybe about 36mpg...
As l am now growing older and more mature (!) do you think that a 37 yo guy should have a car with stripes on and therefore should l remove them and has anyone else do this and did it leave the paintwork showing where the stripes had been...?
And should l have broken down the above question...
Just spotted a small amount of oil coming from the rocker gasket...days after the warranty ran out :(
Is it an easy job to replace as it looks like the inlet manifold has to come off and its gaskets replaced too ?
Had one in front of me going onto the slip road of the M66 at Ramsbottom.Theres a really tight left-right before the slip road opens out straight. He was about four car lengths ahead and he floored it before l had straightened up.
He was owned ! ;)
I had to back off before the slip road...
You passed me today at around 3pm heading toward Asda.
Thats the fourth 197 i've seen around here in the last few days.My 182 Cup is soon going to be so rare ;)
Has anyone changed theirs for a better item?
If so and it wasn't a Renault wheel how did you set-up the cruise-control buttons etc...or is this not possible?
The steering wheel is THE biggest let down in the 182 Cup :(
Are these any good/a good deal ?. Has anyone fitted these and what else were needed....just a pair of sub-frames?

I've owned a 172 Cup and now have a 182 Cup.Theres nothing in it for day-to-day driving IMHO.The 182 is safer with the ABS/ESP etc but thats about it.
So,after reading all the topics about 197's v 182 Cup's v 172 FF etc etc etc am l right in saying that with the same driver, all cars being...
.....well more of a nightmare then to a dream really !
Following on from another recent topic i'll tell you what it was.........
I had sold my RB 182 Cup.I didn't dream the selling bit but it had happened....and l was on my way to pick up my new car......a 911 Turbo in black no less...
As above......after two years of ownership should l now go for the more mature look (well l am nearly 38 !) and remove the stripes....or leave them on?
PASSED :)
Just needed new wiper blades (fitted at 11.30 pm last night because l always leave things to the last minute!).
All they advised on were the front discs being worn...but its still on its original pads at 20k and they didn't say they needed to be changed!!!!!
It looks like about...
As above....is there anything that it may fail on that l should check for now? The car is just under 20k and runs A1.
Its just been into Reno for a suspension problem and they found the oxygen sensor needed to be replaced...maybe they checked it out and apart from that all was well.
Are...
I own a 182 Cup in RB with 20k on the clock. It just coming up to 3 years old and to be honest l can't fault it.
However,l really do like the idea of having a Williams (l have owned several 205 1.9 gtis and totally loved them but always knew the Williams was better) but it would have to be...
I think it was on tuesday night...it went towards the John Lloyd fitness centre.
Why didn't you stop to let me have a go? You could have had a go of my 1.8D Escort van in return ;)
Car was at Renault for a suspension problem but they say they found a problem with the O2 sensor and changed it!
Never noticed anything wrong....what would a faulty one do?
