Chris here is my tale of ownership... bought the car (1.2 extreme) 9 months ago and clocked up over 10k miles with very few problems though I am planning to take it to the dealer soon for the following
temperature sensor broken (shows over 40 degrees always)
drivers side window gets stuck...
Robby, possibly the car had a 2.2 HDI these are very torquey engines and a simple Van Aaken chip can get them up to 173 BHP and 315 ftlb of torque.... id imagine them to be quite impressive in the higher gears although i suspect the clio would easily pass it to 60!
Spent a good few hours in the early hours of this morning just driving round some of my favourite local roads, even with the lack of grunt from the 1.2 engine I found that it was a very enjoyable and fun to drive and could still easily break all the limits fairly quickly with nothing on the...
Oh but dont always assume they are nobs once when i was test driving a toyota yaris (SORRY!) i hit the brakes a bti hard and someone nearly went into the back of me and he got out to have a few words with me!!!! however he was a bit close to be honest...those things have brakes that are either...
Yep same thing happened to me i got out and had a few polite words with tho bloke and said he had just cut me up totally (was at a set of lights where two lanes turned right he was in right lane me left and he cut across mid bend) he was totally oblivious to what he had done. BUT i have learnt...
i dont think the feature was particularly unfair after all he was looking at most fun for your pound and took citroen free insurance into account (although that whole show is a bit naff!!!)
Hi Folks, thinking about changing the oil and filter in my car (1.2 16v) coming up to 7000 miles and want to keep it running nice as I do a fair bit of stop start driving for a couple of hours a day. Now im a bit of a thicko when it comes to this stuff, but in the manual it says that for all...
Tell you what though,
I had an identical quote (literally just changed the car model) and the insurance jumped to £2200 a month - so that was an extra grand although it was for a 51 S2000 so it could be worse. BUT that hasnt put me off - I still want an S2000 :D even If i have to wait a few...
I am 23 and I have had quote of 1200 on a cup - garaged, 1 non-fault claim I didnt think that was too bad (although Im still sticking with my 1.2 for a while)
Shame I lost my NCB after a lorry spilt rocks onto my car :@
anyone tried Renault Insurance? Im with them but only cos its free :-)
the Golf GTI 150PD has a very slightly higher 0-60 time than the 1.8T but bags more torque could probably tow a hippo with one of em. Anyway back to topic nice choice Ian, glad you did not go for that citrus green!!

yeah depends on the colour & spec you want - when I got mine the dealer had four plat. cars but no blue, I could have had one the same day but decided to wait the 6 weeks or whatever to get the spec and colour I wanted.
For running in, details come in the manual :) I stuck to what it said...

yeah i know it makes a difference but it seems to happen on the rear regardless of the blower settings or even having the windows open when its 2 deg c <shiver> - quite annoying.
like the gas mask idea would get quite a few looks down my local high street :)
Since I was out in a bad rainstorm a fews months back my windows seem to have gathered some sort of film on them when the windows got really misted. It seems to be the rear windscreen that mists up the worst and at night when there are cars behind their headlights reflect off it making it...

Pretty blue!!
When i was looking at cars I looked at & drove saxos, 106, 206, Yaris etc, the clio is FAR superior IMO. Fiat Stilo & Corsa SXI nearly made it into my garage though...both I liked a lot but not as much as the clio (obviously!).

dci very similar - bit more pull at motorway speeds, more mpg, more noise in traffic though. Sounds like you got an excellent deal there. You mention in your top post that you havnt had a look at one, I assume you have seen the interior as this would be a major selling point (or not -...
