Yep your not wrong im well happy with the car its like once a blue moon I go 4-up like that. It does handle very well and I got a good chance to test it out on the way back - would never push a car through the twisties with passengers anyway though. 13" tyres though wow not masses of rubber...
took mine down south for the day was 4-up and quite loaded - 45mph in 3rd & would the bugger accelerate up some of the bigger hills - nope not even the hint of it. felt quite unsafe at times -still got 55mpg ish & coming back on my own having dropped off my passengers and unloaded it was no...
I have a red and yellow pedal bike in the loft from when I was six its very low to the ground nice 3 inch plastic wheels for the all important acceleration and just about enough room for a portable radio on the back to bash out the tunes. low mileage - nice cruising vehicle. make me an offer
Sounds like the clio stood up very well to what sounds like a very bad accident! Renault are definitely one of the safest makes of cars always do well in crash tests... although this doesnt mean you should drive like a prat right 2fast?
DD did any/all of the airbags go off?
I always pass one every day about 6.45am and again on the way home around 4.30 on these roads by the Thames/Hampton Court and Bushy Park - anyone on here? Nice note yer zaust makes :-)

is that extreme wax the stuff in the luminous green bottle if so I have some of that and it seems pretty good when I last used it but my car didnt say shiny for long bloody british weather
petrol car in the end - im on the road 2 - 3 hours a day in slow traffic so the diesel probably made more sense though!!! but the higher price of the car and noisy engine put me off i guess.
Interesting point, I will have to give them a call myself regarding my incident when a lorry dropped rubble onto my clio - I had to claim and pay the excess but I wonder if I can get my no claims back especially as im still pursuing the company involved (one of the major water cos) as I had 2...

Yup theres afair bit more torque over 50%
1.2 16v - 100nm
dci65 - 160nm
i test drove both when i bought mine, didnt really seem a great deal different but i didnt take it on motorway im sure thats where the biggest difference would be felt.
also dont forget the new vectra has AS STANDARD radar to ensure distance from the car in front never exceeds 1 foot this gadget means you do not even need to concentrate on the car in front whilst talking on the mobile!
1.Tailgaters
1a. Tailgaters on motorways
1b. tailgating lorries on motorways
2.Lane changing without indicating
2a.People who get in the wrong lane just to skip a few cars...and then block it as they try to change back
3.Not indicating on roundabouts
4.Speeding around schools/built up...

The only really nice ones I have found were very expensive (autostyle), In the end I bought the cheapest rubber Renault ones and then painted the clio logo and edges with similar colour model-paint to match my interior trim
:-)
mate that sucks a similar thing happened to me a while back in my fathers car when I was a passenger - as we turned left out of a roundabout with a maaaassive gap this bloke in an "old style" cavalier just floored it to within 1 inch of the bumper & arms out the window swearing and shouting and...

Not something I would even consider but i dont see anything particularly wrong becuase any reasonably knowledegable car nut would be able to tell the difference a mile away and probably pi$$ themselves laughing if they saw a 1.2 with a 2.0 badge & if you couldnt tell the difference chances are...
Yeah I was considering the disklok. It looks expensive at first compared to others but its not something worth skimping on. I agree 80 quid is not a lot compared to the value of the car especially when it last years as well.
ppl who have one, Is it fairly easy to fit and remove and does it...
Can anyone recommend a device that will be a good fit for my clio either steering wheel or gearstick type roughly how much and where from.
I used to have an autolok on my escort but it damaged the gearstick as the fitting was a bit tight - i didnt care in my escort but in my spanking new clio...
