True but it is better proportioned;).
Whenever I told anyone I owed a 172 they would look blankly at me, then when I explained it was a Clio and a very fast one they would often say "ahhh you have a Clio Williams":@.
172 is a bit girly due to Clios beeing marketed at young ladies, the 172...
Yep - and I know a few other people who bought their 172s from Motorpoint without problems and got everything they wanted, though you should just check that the 172 they now receive are from the EU (not Belgium as they have less bhp), just to be safe.
Good luck getting a 172.
Oh yeh their...
My car was bought from Motorpoint and originated in Holland, I paid 12k there was no £800 handling charge or whatever. I paid for a few little extras. Insurance is the same and when I sold it I made just as much as if it had been a UK sourced car. So I personally didnt see a down side to buying...
I bought mine from Motorpoint Derby, it came with everything but an alarm, but had a better one fitted. You get three years Renault Warranty, but need to spend £5 and get an English handbook.
I had the car for 1 year other than a few problems (not related to the import, just normal Renault...
:o
They are definately girls cars, but then a lot of girls have excellent taste in cars.;)
Must admit I get a lot more admiring looks and comments in my Golf than I did in the 172.
Joe was kicked off due to some users thinking he was getting aggressive (I am not acerting an opinion on this just the facts as I know them) in his posts, personally I found his info very helpful.
Sorry Gunner.
Mine was keyed after having it for 2 months all down one side cost £400 to have it repaired, I hate jealous and careless people. Use a cocktail stick and some cover-up paint. Mine was just before Christmas.
GPRIM all Northampton Clio owners should write a joint letter to Renault and the watchdog organisations, my experience with camden is the main reason my company car is a golf gti and not a renault V6
Golf will not be as much fun as a Cup, better build quality but 1.8T isnt the Golf of choice, my Diesel one is faster and the R32 is the only Golf to potentially embarass a Cup. I would go for the showroom car.
Congrats
Will he insure you on it?
I am seeing a lot of older men driving 172s, yesterday a blue on overtook me **03DNF the man driving it was definately in his middle fiftys.
Are 172s now old men cars instead of young ladies cars??? ;)
I ran my 172 in for 600 miles then thrashed it, changed the oil to a race spec type at 1500 miles and the car started first time everytime and ran more smoothly for the first mile and warmed up quicker.
Hope everything goes well, I cant wait to get my GTi.
GR, I know that whenever I see the MK1 V6 I have to catch my breath as it is stunning, I do prefer the MK2 but as you would pay £7000 less for that one then it seems a real bargain if you have the money. It should not matter how fast you drive or how many miles you put on it, all that matters is...
Supaguard on the interior is just Scotchguarding the interior under another name. It is not a bad thing especially if you have children, but is often expensive for what it does.
My Golf was meant to be with me on the 21st but will now not be here until the 4th of August.
It is horrible having to wait.
Rich - good luck for Wednesday.
Jon - hope you get it sooner.
