Do you want to make them from scratch?? If so, its one of those jobs where if you have to ask on here how to do it, then its not really something you want to be attempting on your own IMO.
Thats what puts me off the thought of buying a valver, theres no way I could afford 10k in just over a year. Id be too worried about buying a duff one from some of the things you read on here.
Ive heard of one Type-R conversion but I dont know much about it, however there are plenty of companies out there who specialise in minis so you could try searching for some of them.
I doubt the Toniq R comes with the engine, gearbox, suspension, brakes etc at that price, hence the need for a...
Takes a very long time to build a kit car from scratch, and youd have to be able to live with having your donor car taking up the driveway for a few weeks while you strip it.
If it was me, Id probably get a mini, strip it out, rebuild the engine, possibly get a respray as well and sort out...
Is this thing gonna be just for thrashing up the strip or are you seriously thinking about using it as a road car? I guess youll be going for perspex windows, plastic panels (if theyre even available) to keep the weight down. I agree with one of the comments about the engine, either strap a...
Yeah, I can believe that time Bambam. They arent really that tunable in n/a form either so your pretty shafted unless you wanna go down the turbo/supercharger route.
Yeah, I think the insurance on the fiesta is group 8. I was watching a 0-60 video of one on http://www.zsoc.comwww.zsoc.com yesterday and it looked well slugish, although some of the responses to it suggested that it was a bit slower than a normal zs. Ive been thinking about getting one and...
My mate has just fitted one of these in his car. It looks really smart with the little movies running on the screen. Very easy to use as well. The main problem with it is that you cant take the face plate off so its not very secure. They do give you a cover to go over it but it just looks even...
I think I know what you mean. He will have to water down the paint quite a bit I guess or else you wont be able to see the lights through it. TBH Ive seen it done on other cars and I thought it looked a bit crap IMO, maybe getting them done as a smoked finish rather than silver would look better.
Sonys current range of Head Units are not crap. But then they arent the best either.
Personally I dont think you can go wrong with an Alpine HU for pure sound quality at a good price, although I reckon Pioneers range look better and also give you decent sound.
I think it has a small cross over built into the connector. The two wires that come out of it then go onto the speakers in the doors. Your better off changing the speakers in the doors instead. Or better still run the whole lot off a sparate amp and fit all new cabling.
Well Im a ford man so Id say a nice S2 RST. In red, or possibly white. But this is a clio forum so you already know what the majority of the answers are going to be!

Keep your foot down until you start bouncing off the limiter and then youll know where it is!
May be able to get the limiter raised as part of an ECU remap, you wont really notice a difference tho.

Dazz, Some cars can still pass when they have a decat pipe fitted but not many and personally I wouldnt risk it. You just put the cat on to get through the MOT and get it changed to the decat afterwards. Pretty straight forward job once youve got the car off the ground.

:o It would be a long trip if it turns out to be a pile of poo poo then. Best give the owner a ring, let them know that your coming 200 miles to see the car and your not f**kin about. If the car turns about to be sh*t then kick off and knock loads of money off, theyll feel guilty cos youve come...
