i've replaced the tdc 2 days ago mate. Made no difference.

when cold the engine management light is on, goes off by itself. Only then will the car start. No fault codes. This is doin my head in...HELP!!

cheers for that. I didn't have a heat gun thing so just used crimps and duck tape. Worked well.

had some starting probs over the last few weeks. Car would start and rev high, throttle wouldn't work and the management light would come on... Then it would just turn over, and not start. Since then it's been an intermittent fault, revving or just not starting... and i've replaced the throttle...

does it have to be soldered? I just bought a new sensor and loom from the stealers... 53 feckin notes.

I'm 99.9% sure it will not, but just thought I'd ask. A 'potential buyer' on eBay wants to know if the t/body I'm selling will fit his 51 plate 1.4 privilege.... Before I put him off I just thought I'd check for definate.

Battery related. Mine did something similar after being left for 2 weeks when on hols. Towing didn't work, but a battery booster thing got it going a treat. I have a small battery drain somewhere, but it's worth getting your batt tested for free from halfrauds or somewhere.

Just thought I'd update: Took the backing plates off the ferodo pads, cleaned, wire brushed and greased everything. The noise has gone!!!! So far so good

jay leno reckons his Mc' f1 weighs less than his ariel atom- I can't quite get my head round that. I know different editions were heavier than others, but that's staggering! And what's the deal with a Cd changer, but no radio?
