Ah, I didn't realise the engine was out,assumed you did the sump in the car. as above really,pull the caps off and have a look. (Worth doing ARP's at the same time) but also as its on the stand, engine upside down, fill the oil pump with oil and turn the engine manually, this will prime it
Wind the engine over for 5/10 seconds with the crank sensor unplugged. This will prime it as much as you need. Ultimately, if there's damage it will have already been done.
I assume you've got fairly light trailers then as 1600kg isn't much of a towing weight.
Personally, I've got a E46 330d which gives me an 1800kg Braked trailer weight. My trailer is 450kg. I do have to position my Clio at the back of the trailer to get the weight distribution right. Too far...
