Covid 19 boredom hit hard today so out came the roof lining..
Surprisingly easy to get to this point but that glue is a nightmare. Leaving it for another day ;)
Evening all,
A question for those who have a bit of auto electrical knowledge unlike myself. I’ve removed the roof lining and obviously I’m left with the wiring for the interior light and vanity mirrors...
Question is.. can I follow this back down to the corner of the windscreen and cut it...
Yeah their garbage mate. I spotted your thread on the cheap 172 so yours might be getting some hammer. It’s just something else to consider while you’re working on these cars ;)
Great project, just read through it from start to finish.
I’d like to know more about the manual steering if you don’t mind?
How is it on track?
How is it for quickly correcting oversteer?
Cheers
Also, LOOKING at bushes won’t tell you much about there condition. If you have use of a ramp you need to get hands and pry bars against these areas to see movement.
Check all of the above.

A few more boredom/covid 19 maybe slightly unnecessary purchases...
I will 100% not be doing the inner arb bushes myself but I reckon I’ll do the exhaust mount ;)

So... Off with the original cup.
M8 bolt +...
To do the lap belts right, and I may be corrected here, you should drill in two eyelets behind the seat with spreader plates no wider than the seat or just slightly wider than your hips.
Sound. I thought I’d gone too far, was just looking at your solution as it happens. I’ll be trying something similar. In the meantime jacking on the chassis rail.
Thanks mate.
Evening all,
Probably a long shot but does anyone have a photo of a front jacking point in good nick?
I’ve just folded mine out with grips/pry bars etc. Now looks like:Not brilliant but it was worse. It looks like I’ve folded it down too far though. Should the steel I’ve folded down be more or...
As above I’d go with the f1’s from that list. I’ve used p-zero’s which were also good. I wouldn’t overlook hankook tyres, normally slightly cheaper and I’ve had good experiences with those also. Think I had Ventus v 12’s.
