Afternoon all,
Fitting buckets soon with cage/harness’s etc but I want to retain standard belt for driving to work. Looking at these:Look suitable?
Also should I bolt it through the subframe/ floor here:
Any help appreciated. Cheers
Enjoyed reading through this thread.
These cars aren’t everybody’s cup of tea but I think the number of people here who own or have owned high power “ better” cars who still hold these things in such regard says a lot.
I got out of a stage 2 S3 8p which I tracked regularly into my current 182. I...
Evening all,
As above probably a total dummy question but I’m no mechanic.
I can’t get the strut to hub bolts out, the nuts are off, I can see 1cm of the shaft on the top bolt but can’t get either out. Am I doing something wrong?
Cheers in advance
Afternoon all,
Picked up a used odessey pc680. I’ve removed the terminals as they were the wrong way round. One of the terminals had two washers under it which bridged the gap between the terminal base and the fixed brass nut which receives the allan bolt. The other had no washers so there was a...
Looks like a tidy example.
If it was liquid yellow or even racing blue I’d say it’s a good deal. Maybe a touch expensive for a Mondial with 70k??
That’s only my personal opinion with very limited Clio knowledge compared to many on here. I’m just up earlier;)
Elf is recommended by Renault and it’s cheap. There are more expensive/better oils out there but with regular changes I think elf oil is the way to go.
Just had mine timed and mapped by Carl and Chris. Standard engine other than Milltek cat back. Made really good torque gains, different car now. £360 all in, which is a lot of money but well worth it.
Don’t forget the best value upgrade of all... weight loss, it’s free.
Yeah it would be my first time on a hill and it’s a non competitive day so should be a laugh. I’ve been to events there and although it’s quite short (I think) it’s always been entertaining.
Enjoyed reading this thread. Looks like a lot of fun. It’s inspired me to do a driving academy day next year at my local hill climb at Harewood.
You picked up a bargain on the Clio.
Madman??? Far from it IMO, been running ADO8R’s on the front for a while now, left my ns2r’s on the rear in good condition. Car oversteers on wet roundabouts/track. Far more entertaining than chasing tenths. In my opinion of course.
Not sure how common it is but I had it, luckily just surface rust which I cleaned up, used kurust and undersealed the area.
No fabrication to car body/chassis is an easy fix but I would prod it sooner rather than later. My tester picked up on mine even at that stage.
As above, ns2r’s are poor in the wet and the road noise especially in a stripped out Clio is almost unbearable on motorway runs. Just ditched my fronts for ADO8R’s after 2 years of daily use and 8 track days so they don’t wear out too fast. The rears have loads left. The ADO8R’s are far better...
Went around 5 years ago. There was a black carbon fibre evo getting air over the mountain, I think olly Clark won his class in the gobstopper (impreza). Some awesome machinery on show and it’s peanuts for entry. I enjoyed it.
Probably best to decide where you would like the tyre to perform best. Fast road driving is limited these days and track tyres work fine on the road.
I use ns2r’s, cost peanuts perform to a decent level on both.
