Going to get me some polycarb windows from acwmotorsport but just wanted to see if anyone thought the anti-abrasive coating at £60 for the fronts was worth it or not?
What actually drives the crank sprocket for the chain of the oil pump?
Is it keyed from the crank, compression when the crank pulley is tightened or something else?
Got the engine back in and all connected up and primed the turbo feed and oil cooler and lines.
I disconnected the coil pack and fuel pump and removed the spark plugs so the was no compression. After cranking the thing 6 times for 20 secs each time there is still no oil flow to the turbo...
Was just about to fit the clutch again and notices where the clutch and pressure plate are in contact it is only touching about 30% of the friction area. Is this normal or is something wrong with it?
Wear is even across the flywheel side of the clutch.

Anyone know where you can get different oil fittings for Mocal Laminova oil coolers.
Got some AN10 fittings today for mine and they are too small. Think the cooler must have AN12 ports.

I have heard of both key'd and non key'd pulleys but when I took mine off today it was key'd.
Am I right in saying this would prevent the cam belt procedure being fully followed as you can't rotate the belt with all the pulleys slackened off and is this really required?

Do you need to replace the cam pulley nuts and bolts and the tensioner after slackening them and removing the timing belt?
I need to replace the timing side crank seal and reset the timing and so the inlet and exhaust pulleys will be slackened along with the tensioner and it says in the manual...

Can anyone tell me what engine sensor differences there are on a clio 1*2 and a megane 225 engine?
I see there are extra cable on my 172 loom than sensors on the 225 engine.
I'd ordered an Odyssey extreme racing 25 battery and the supplier is saying they are on back order with Odyssey and they're not sure when they'll get stock in yet.
They have offered me the equivalent Varley battery at the same price. I was told it is a red flash 25 which I can't find any...

Looking at getting another set of tyres for some wheels that are to get me to and from the track so road legal, but also used on track for wet track days as these are frequent at knockhill.

I'm in the middle of stripping down my engine bay for an engine swap and noticed when I turn the alternator by hand it sounds a bit rough. Very little play but doesn't sound smooth. I think the bearings need changed and thought I would be as well doing this when it was all stripped.

Is there any difference to the physical dimensions to a Clio 172 fuel rail and injector to a megane 225 fuel rail and injector.
Mostly referring to pitch between injectors and how the injector connects to the rail.

Need an intercooler for my turbo set up and looking to get to around 280bhp.
What size of inlets would be suited to this power level? Would 2" be enough or would this be too restrictive?
The intercooler I'm looking at is from an focus st.

I always see open induction kits but would this not be better than an open IK with a cold air feed from somewhere?
