The build is coming along slowly but I have negotiated with the mrs a day at the weekend that she'll go out with the wee man and let me get on with it. Hopefully get it pushed on a bit.
Enjoyed that today, good weather, good racing and a few laughs at the junior ginetta drivers with their dukes of hazard moments.
Good seeing some you as well!
When I was firing on 3 I check that the coil was energising on each injector by connecting a 12v supply to each and listening for a click. Took only a few minutes and showed injector 3 wasn't working. Changed it and all started working again.
This won't work if the injector is just blocked but...
Turbo hits off the outlet of the breather and also the coil pack mount on the inlet.
The breather could be modified but the inlet just wont work with the 225 manifold.
Flanges are different anyway for your choice of turbo.
I filed mine down about 1mm a side and never had any binding issues with the DS2500's but never found them very good on track. Fitted some Blues and what a difference. Lost count how many trackdays I've done on them and they still have a few days left. Very impressed with Pagid Blue pads and...
Ktec ones are bullet tipped too. The ktec ones work with 12mm spacers but with bolt to hub spacers this is irreverent anyway.
The eBay jobs just don't look good quality IMO.
By disconnecting the solenoid you are stopping it advancing and so stopping it potentially colliding.
Timing can slip if the belt was not changed Correctly.
Remember the dephaser will advance the timing by 16 deg so if you are slightly out then by adding 16 deg advance then it may collide.
Still think it'll just be your dephaser if fuked.
Different advance at different revs.
Does just sound like the dephaser is pumped but Andy might be right as well with the valves hitting off the pistons.
