Lol, no bother Danny. Thought that but thought I'd wind you up anyway.
You should be fine as it won't have done too many miles. Try and get a pic of how much it was out just out of curiousity.
Both
Youll be able to tell if the tensioner has had it as when you try to line up the notches, they won't if it's had it. They get so far lining up then jump past it. I'm sure they know what they are doing.
V mate but been called worse than the other spelling. ;)
Its been at least a couple of weeks since the last one. I was missing a good timing belt chat.
Mmm, a few options. A disc like this would allow me to run a Subaru 4 pot (with some jiggery pokery) but I'm looking at another option too that I think should work rather well. I'll let you know how I get on then I'll get loads of brackets made and offer this as a kit.
It was hard enough to fit a 2.5" downpipe in nevermind anything bigger. It would only work about the spring pressure in the actuator which is about 0.5 bar of boost.
As I said, would only use on a track car as on the road it would not be good.
Stops turbulent gases disrupting flow from the turbine same as an external wastegate. Also increases the ability to flow more exhaust gases at higher boost as wastegate gas is not going down the exhaust.
Sounds good too but wouldn't do it on a road car, too noisey!
Cheers mate, very kind words! :approve:
There definitely is no room for the down pipe to be anything other than perfect. I was playing with mm to get it just right so I'm going to get another pipe made up with a screamer pipe now you've got me in the mood for one. :p
As if I need any more...
Not had much time at all lately to push the build on but have managed to get the engine in which has allowed me to see the down pipe hit the steering rack so that needed a rethink. There is not much room to clear the oil drain and also miss the steering rack but managed to clear both and end up...
Lol, you having a laugh? I currently have brembo max discs and pagid blues which are a very good combo but with soon 300+bhp and being used solely on track, I need some more stopping power.
Regarding DS2500, defo not a track pad and if you think they are, you're not trying on track.
Bit more than I was looking to spend. Was looking at refurbing an old set of some sort if calipers and making brackets to suit standard discs that fit under 15" wheels hopefully.
Martin, this is the setup I'm thinking about as I can make brackets to suit but don't know if it is possible at all to fit under 15" wheels so anything you could do to prove possible would be very helpful mate.
Thinking about what options there are for 4 pots that will fit under 15" wheels.
1) wilwoods?
2) megane 197/225 brembos?
3) 406 brembos?
4) anything else?
Also, what size of spacers would be needed for each to make them fit both my et37 superlegera and 2118's?
Cheers for any help!
Engine tuning is not the basics and you will not see much if any gains. Much better starting with a good service then move onto chassis and brakes then move onto the engine.
