yep ebay is dogshit, i only had messers on ebay when i put my cup up for sale earlier on in the year.
Trouble with eBay is its all to easy to message a seller or click "buy now" rather than ringing a seller and actually having a genuine conversation. Piston heads was also a waste of time, sold...
get this in the advert too, its a point which backs up the current selling price, the more information the better.

Loosen it off while the car is on the ground etc then remove the strut from the car before undoing the top mount nut, they will be under tension but nothing a bit of bodyweight won't counteract - take your time , don't rush and you will be fine

Currently toying with the idea of taking it off, sounds good around town but on the motorway it can get a little tiresome. Thing is is I go OE I am 90% certain I will be left wanting more !
To a certain extent yes the pad will always make contact with the disc, if you have fitted the pads in the caliber ok then the piston is wound back enough - it will settle once you have used them for the first time.
As long as the pad isn't stopping the wheel from turning (seized caliper) then...
