Thanks for the photo and look forward to seeing your setup Tony!
The ph1 setup allows a fpr to be used on the return line and as I'm going turbo I wanted a fpr.
I would be very grateful if anyone could post some pics up of their fuel rail setups and even better if there is a fpr involved and a return pipe to the tank.
Thanks in advance!
Re: 172 Cup track toy!
Pushed on today with building up the engines ancillaries and must say I like the look of them so far.
Then got to work fitting my new helix paddle clutch and getting the gearbox mounted back onto the block and trial fitted the gearbox mount to see how it looks...
Re: 172 Cup track toy!
Cheers mate think I'm sorted now.
For the splitter I used the bumper as a template and measured 100mm on the front and then tapered to 60mm at the sides and the cut it out. I then sanded down the edges using finer and finer grit until smooth then polished it using a...
I hear you and agree with you to degree about making changes to the car when required but I know knockhill and got 2 tuition sessions in a Clio 197 at the Renaultsport track day there last May and in both 10 lap session the brakes were fading by the last few laps. This was me following the...
There are 2 heavy braking points at knockhill that you will be slamming on the brakes and the last thing you want in either of these areas of the track is fade or the fear that it could happen. Standard pads are the first thing I would change on the car.
When I go to a track day I want to make...
Re: 172 Cup track toy!
Gave the engine bay and gearbox a good clean today which must be the most boring job I have undertaken so far on the car but required all the same. Also removed the fabric sound deadening in preperation for fitting heat matting.
Also managed to break this sensor on...
Re: 172 Cup track toy!
The splitter is made from hdpe plastic with stainless steel support rods. Not been on the car yet so no pics of that but I'll get them up when it is.
Cheers
Re: 172 Cup track toy!
Wish I'd stripped off the thermostat as well and got that powder coated. Don't worry the pics will keep coming.
The block is currently black, rocker cover is silver along with the inlet manifold. Can't decide what colour to paint the rocker cover and inlet mani to work...
I'm thinking it's hard to see past the T1R's at £34 a corner as 9 times out of 10 I'll be using my other wheels with the A048's.
Thanks for all the input guys!
Re: 172 Cup track toy!
Got these back from powder coating today. Going for orange with blue hoses in the bay.
Going to get the new engine fitted in over the weekend so fingers crossed.
