My cams have about the same specs as Schrick , and they give both torque aswell as high rpm power. I gained both ways, love these cams

Yes there are mate. For example the "Group N" cams. they are less topend but more midrange. (used for Group N Rally racing). I believe Renault Sport (Dieppe) sell only an intake cam for this Rally classification, the exhaust cam is left alone.
^^ yep. Only it does'nt blow; the TB elbow sucks up the oil-residue.
Environmental issues/laws have made them to design it this way, no more oil venting in to atmosphere but these little bits of oil are now used up through the throttle body
a little less. it seems to vary ? Once i had'nt looked for a gas-tank or two and i had to put 3 quarters of a liter in !
I trie to check every time i fuel up you see
** just read you have uprated cams in there? Mine only started using oil since the Italian metal came in and someone on here was saying it had to do with some kind of overlap, something to do with valve pressure . mine does it too and i'm not too worried (anymore)
Think a lot of aftermarket...
mine does the same.. and yes, it does throw out the occasional hard thrashing-drivestyle oil through the breather setup. i disconnected mine because i went for an aftermarket elbow without the tube-entrance and just put a little breather-filter on the end. SInce then i always get the oilsmell...
Alper, Janus ; you guys have a phase 1 right ? With the opening for air (caf) somewhere around/under the headlight ? I wish i could go down that route with the phase 2..
Now i have removed the fuel railguard and routed a corrugated tube along the front which seems to work out good, but...
the pin shortens the throw up to 50% , almost right when i said 45% . Maurice told me not to use this pin as it is too much stress on the box

Mate, he is talking about the clutch PIN that is an optional with the gearstick . The pin shortens the throw by up to 45% ! The pin is the actual thing that really shortens the shift , the gearstick itself shortens it a little but not that much.
Not lies , facts from the guy who designed it...
the pin can be used yes. This actually shortens the throw the most , but so much that your synchros wo'nt be able to keep up and will eventually break things in there
Mine was exactly the same when fitting it ! Do'nt remove it or heat it up !
You need to loosen the nut a bit that connects the shifter to the selector-rod(?) ; it is too tight. You do'nt even need to take off the heatshield to reach it ! Just pull on the selector rod untill you can see/reach...
when doing this, it means cambelt off yes ? :o
So in other words; new cambelt job ? (mine was just done... no dephaser pulley changed !?)
***EDIT*** sorry ! Is this changed when they do the cambelt-kit ? I'm beginning to question myself now as to wether it has also been changed..)
Mauro is a good guy . Very swift delivery too ?
When i ordered mine i did a bank transfer and 2 days later they emailed me that the payment was in and the cams were ready for delivery :approve: Very professional.
I've had experience with other companies across the border that already...
:D
where did you order if i may ask !?
PS; also i find it brave and bold to choose the Italian metal over your own German Schrick , you should'nt be dissapointed
Get them set up right; drive over to Holland ;-)
also sounds to me like your airbox or induction elbow is loose ? Some sort of "sucking noise, kind of hollow if you know what i
mean ? (might be video quality though)
** to answer your question; i do'nt think diasnotics will tell you mech faults
i think there are a couple of threads here on that ; dephaser pulley ? i will trie to look them up
(exact same sounding prob as you, might be wrong on the dephaser though)
