you will need to remove the cross member, its only bolted in (2 bolts either side) then pull the top of the rad forward to get some plyers on the bottom jubilee clip, pop it off and drain the coolant.

Yes it will make more mess but would you rather smash up £600 bumper or a £200 bumper. It will look identical to the standard 172 bumper and utilize the original fixing points. It will also come with the black plastic stickers on the sides of the grill like the original too. Let me get one...

sorry I should have expanded on my reply. you will need to swap the brake pipes etc from the cup to the ph1 beam, brakes are the same just with ABS sensors and rings on the disks.
