I have a 3 point Sabelt harness and cant decide where is best to mount the rear strap. So fas I have had them in the old seat belt buckle points and now I have them mounted in the sea belt recoil point next to the rear qtr windows.
You could also use the rear seat beam mounting point but where...
Made my own subframes as the ones out there were too expensive for me.
I've got a drawing of what's required if you know a fabricator that can make them up for you.
Need to fit resisters (3.3ohm) in the plug. Do a search for seat fitting and you'll see what to do. However, it worked for my passenger seat but not the driver seat so I think I'll be playing about with it today.
If the wheels not located on the hub spigot perfectly central it will cause vibration as the wheel will be slightly off centre. Spigot rings have to be the correct size for the wheel and the hub.
I've got long legs (6'3") and the bottom of the wheel was hitting my knees so if positioned the seat further back but my arms are now nearly at full stretch. I'll tilt the steering wheel down and use a spacer to bring it closer.
Do you get longer steering wheel boss's?
I want to get the perfect driving position and since i have made my own seat subframes with runners, I have the perfect seat position but the steering wheel is slightly too far away.
Re: 172 Cup track toy!
Couldn't find any seat sub-frames with sliders so I had a set of Cobra mounts for a Pug 206 that I have adapted to fit. When I say adapted I mean Ive used the sliders and made new sub-frames to fit the clio.

And after a lick of...
I used 3.3ohm resistors and worked on the passengers side.
Did the same on the drivers side but doesnt seem to work. Do you need to do anything with the seat belts? I unplugged a couple of cables from them and thought this might be causing the light to stay on rather than the driver seat.
Re: 172 Cup track toy!
I've listened to a couple of vids on YouTube of the yozza and must admit, it is a damn sexy noise!
What is the db level of the race system? Any probs with noise at ant tracks?
Re: 172 Cup track toy!
Think I'm in the mood for changing the exhaust as well. Need a cat back system that sounds a bit more racy than the ktec stealth. Think I'll go for the yozza race system or the oreca. Anyone any comments on either?
Re: 172 Cup track toy!
Think I'll keep my eye on the gearbox level for now and worry about a rebuild when I loose a cog! Lol
Cheers for the link by the way Adam.
