Re: 172 Cup track toy!
Once Ive used the 3 sets of tyres I have for the 16's I'll defo get some 15's. Sounds like it's the way to go.
Need to get my decision head on with the coilovers. The B14's look the best buy for the price but I keep thinking I'm going to get something else later on as...
The OEM guys have to worry about noise regulations, emmissions and the likes so OE induction are often not the best for outright performance.
Might just leave the viper on then as it does Sound ok even with a CAF!
Hijack coming!!!!
I'm getting the car mapped soon for a 182 exhaust manifold, decat and whatever induction kit I have at the time. Currently have a Piperx Viper. Will that loose me power?
Should I dig out the old airbox and refit that? Would the V6 box and what filter be a better option...
Re: 172 Cup track toy!
Is that not covering up a problem rather than fixing it? Cheers for the info though!
I think I will go to 15's but have a few sets of gyres to go through first. Then I'll sell some of the wheels and buy some 2118's or something.
I just fitted Vibratechnics all round with a polybushed dog bone mount and my feeling is you would have to be very hardcore to use these mounts on a road car. Why would you want to is my feeling. If you use the car for regular track days and occasional road use then fair enough but if your car...
Re: 172 Cup track toy!
Dried it up with a rag and then checked it the next day and it was back.
There was a small puddle on the plastic undertray panel.
Thought I'd set about the cup and finally turn it into the track car it wants to be.
Already fitted is:
1) Ferodo DS2500 pads front and rear
2) Brembo Max fron discs
3) Pipercross Viper
4) KTR Stainless Stealth
My 'to do' list is as follows:
1) Strip it out (rear seats and carpet)
2) Fit...
That's what I was thinking about but I would need to use the eyelet catch side to connect to the harness and the buckle side to bolt to the car or get single straps and use the buckle pin to the harness clip and fit the eyelet clip to the car. Is that safe enough?
They have clips on the end of the strap that look like they should clip on to something like an eyelet but I was hoping to clip them onto another strap that could be taken to the rear seat belt points.
I'm looking to fit some luke 3 point harnesses that I bought on here but the straps are not long enough to reach the rear seat belt anchor points.
Any ideas where I could get extensions or can I use a Crutch strap to reach it?
Sorry to hear about your problems. I hit a pheasant the other week doing about 40mph and it never ever left a mark :D so in future just hit them unless there is an RSPCA van next to you. :dapprove:
