Had the same issue. 3 no probs and 1 that was a c"nt!
Now that I've removed the seat the 'serv' light has come on. I disconnected the battery long before removing the seat.
Any ideas?
Probably just being daft but can anyone give me any pointers on removing the front seat from my 172 cup? Can't see any bolts holding them in, just rivet type things that I have no idea how to remove.
Thanks
Re: "Mechanically Inept" Dave.'s TDF'd ITB & Cammed 182
Congratulations mate, if you're looking at a fast good looking 4 door for the family look at the new shape Leon cupra.
My mrs bought one and I love driving it. Lovely noise from the engine too and returns about 26mpg around town.
It is a great price. I was a bit unsure why they were so cheap but most other places have them for £100 more.
I'll do a bit more research then make my decision but thanks for all the input!
I am thinking the bilsteins just now but has anyone used them on track before as that is what the car will be used for 99% of the time.
If anyone has and can give me an idea of how they rate it would be appreciated.
I know what you mean. I've also got an impreza p1 and the ast stuff gets a good write up for imprezas.
I probably wouldn't bother with constantly adjusting it but if that is what is need to get the perfect set up once then it would be good to know.
The bilsteins are at a very reasonable...
I'm looking for a good quality coilover that will turn my cup track car into track weapon. I like the look of KW variant 2's or some AST's but new they are too expensive for me.
Would Bilstein B14's be a good compromise or would I need to change at a later date?
Do you really need need...
No offence but the 3 you put on would put me off buying the car. Take a good one from the front, either side and the back. Nothing arty or fancy and people will react better to that.
Just my opinion mind.
Finally got the car to Renault last Friday to get this problem fixed. They came back to me today to say they have finally found the problem. They found a cable on the interior cabin that in front of the heater matrix that had been rubbing on something causing it to earth. This was blowing a 5amp...
How hard is it to swap an engine wiring loom over from an identical car?
Are all the sensors easily accessible and are they all plugs?
Cheers for any help as I know mine has a broken wire and think it would be easier to swap the whole thing than find the broken.
Is it as straight forward as swapping one out one in for an ecu from the same age of car with standard maps?
What about ignition keys? Do they still work?
