Carrier to hub bolts are 70nm and the caliper to carrier is 40nm.
As you say, all makes sense ones you start. Just make sure you put everything back on including all clips on the rears as the pads can fall out if it's done wrong.
I use a bit of thread lock on the bolts too just to make...
Just looking on eBay and according to this guy his dephaser caused his head to drop a valve. Is this correct?

How much is the job costing you in total for parts and tools?
Fancy making a guide to this as I need to do mine soon and can't decide to do myself or take to a dealer?
Re: Clio 172 Cup Project!!
Track Scotland at knockhill on the 14th. Time attack is the next day so the cars will be testing during the day so we'll see how the cup fares against the big boys. Lol
Re: Clio 172 Cup Project!!
Yup, standard item but some dealers only put them on if you asked them to, like mine!
Looking good anyway. Getting my kw's fitted next friday. Not sure about getting them fitted and set up for the track on Friday the 13th but hey ho.
Re: Clio 172 Cup Project!!
Like what you've done mate. How do you find the bilsteins? Was going to get a set myself but changed my mind to go for some kw v2's.
Where's your front spoiler by the way?
Re: 172 Cup track toy!
Thought i'd try in hear as I aint getting much luck on the other thread.
Can anyone tell me why my airbag light is not going out when I've wired the resistor like so:
The colours on The Boosh's guide shows different colours into the black plug. Is that the...
Dont think its a group buy as such as I just went in to enquire about a price and they offered it to me.
You can see where they make their savings though. Not in the quality of their work but the setup in general.
Re: 172 Cup track toy!
Bit of a photo update of the recent activities.
New coilovers to be fitted and setup next friday at Kenny Brown Engineering:
Car on stilts as the Mrs calls it getting the brake calipers and fluid changed:
The newly refurbed Turini's with Yoko A048...
Good info that. I was having the same dilemma as to whether to get the licence, trailer, tow bar on the other car or keep the car Clio MOT'd, taxed and insured. This helps that decision to be made. Guess the trailer has to be braked.
Re: 172 Cup track toy!
Small update, got the refurbed front calipers fitted along with some pagid blue pads and new motul rbf600 fluid in there for good measure. Got a set of DS2500's in the old calipers but can't decide which to use. The pagid's are about 10% worn so like new and the ds2500's...
No clip but to replace the dust boot it is easier to fit if you remove the piston and if your doing that you'd be as well replacing the seal when you're there.
I have a cobra evolution (side mounted) and a corbeau (base mounted). I used a pug 206 cobra subframes for the sliders but made my subframes to suit the Clios strange mounting points.
Re: 182 track weapon attempt
172's came originally with 195 45 R16's but then 182's came 205 45 R16's. None came with 50's.
Car looks good with the racing livery! :approve:
Same seats as I've got. How do you find them around the hip area? Maybe its just my fat ar*e! lol
Also, see the...
Re: 172 Cup track toy!
Would this sort of thing be worth it?

Re: 172 Cup track toy!
I have seem them low and high but not sure what is correct.
Is what we are saying then that unless you have a cage or harness bar then harnesses are not safe?
Re: 172 Cup track toy!
I thought the angle of the straps were to be as level as possible to avoid this?
Your saying either way I'm getting a broken back in an accident? Anywhere else you would recommend?
Cheers by the way!
Re: 172 Cup track toy!
Not sure on where best to mount the rear strap of the harness. The 2 ways I have tried are:
And I now have it like this:
Is there a correct way for a cageless car? I will be getting a cage hopefully in the not too distant future so this is only for a...
The fix with using the 3.3ohm resistor in the plug seemed to work on the passenger side but not on the drivers side. I followed Boosh's guide about where to use the resistors but there are some differences in mine...
