yep i think the surface has to be rough to some content due to the "pulsing" thing going on in the system..
BenR knows; maybe you can get in touch with him !
in comparison to the normal 172FF wheels they have a different offset (ET) that will make them stick out a bit more (0,5mm each side i think)
This is the only diffrence between the track of the 172 Cup + 172 FF as the hubs etc. are the same with these
tommorow, go to your car and very simply feel al along the side-screens. you will feel that ,where the bracket is, it sticks out 1,5 cm/2cm in comparison to the rest of the arch
i hope his mailbox aint full !? Yeah trie him.. i remember he had a sollution for the bumperbracket.
I just dug up your thread with the pics of your car... your asking for it haha
very lowwww
you are just way too low , asking for trouble especcially with no camber- bolts / setup
+ you've also got 205 tyres on there have'nt you ? that adds to your trouble
Please feel along the front arches (i know they're removed but..) you will feel the BUMPERBRACKET mentioned 3 posts ago. This is the only dangerous one!!
I have the same problem. Fred (Yozza) will know what todo about this bracket.
Yes i know what you mean , it's none of them. Knowing your car after owning it a while you notice every sound/noise that's new and also know when one of these is NOT supposed to be there
I'll have someone take a look at it. The car has distribution belt service coming up so i'll ask the mechanic to check.
Could this be felt/seen by hand when holding the AR bar ?
forget all about it.... i've changed mounts all round and it's still knocking. Design fault i'm thinking; no space for enginemovement
** going to try something different now; the two top mounts. I'm going to put some washers under the top nuts, this will able me to tighten them up some more...
These last couple of weeks i'm getting a creaking noise, first noticed it in a fast curve ; those nice ones you can take at 50/60mph , when the car is really "hanging" in the curve. I have not noticed any noises while parking (the full lock noise of which i have read a lot about)
Also a...
mine did'nt have 'em , ordered from a good supplier in Holland ! Thought it was supposed to be like this but now i've read this i'm going to call them for some
is the removing of the subframe, or at least moving it a bit , such a big job ? How big of a job for a mechanic with the right tools are we talking about ? (including fitting the 182 manifold)
