I see/read alot of you when having cams done you also have the manifolds matched/flowed.
Must this be done ? I think i already have a good one from factory as the car is really fast already, so maybe it wo'nt be neccescary ?
i had this one, the aeroform costs round 250 pounds in England.
I think if you search you must be able to find the dealer; the post is around 1 year old i think..
It got me bad mileage , a very brutal noise unlike any other inductionkit, lost power i think at high rpm.. sold it to a young...
The Stealth is really awesome... I HATE visable tailpipes, almost always done wrong to my opinion.
but i think the more quiet it's made, the more restrictive.. I will be contacting you when my other one falls off :D
i think the loud one is less restrictive ; therefore faster ?
the only reason i have to get an exhaust is that it should be the best performance-wise..
Looks great though !!!!
.. right . :D I'll first be getting the RS tuner Prokit like you. Henk can then later tweak it to optimise the camchange.
Going to spend on seats first, then the kit. When money is more available (almost never:S ) it's time to look for the best cams...
strange thing is; my car idles lumpy now already... However i've checked under the oilcap to see if the cams are OEM (been told before how to check this) , and they're original cams.. (not out of one piece of casting/metal)
idle is really lumpy though... :S
Not a good thing when you do'nt...
There are a lot of 182 drivers that say the decat does'nt make one f**k of a difference, maybe even looses power . Just makes a lot more noise. The 172 DOES benefit because of the different manifold
Maybe the 182 exhaust needs some back-pressure
I do'nt want to bother that's just it :D i was wondering if i could save a lot of $$ by being able to use the OEM parts and do only the cams .. Great to hear because it will be an affordable nice mod !! will be fitting them (when/if) with a mechanically minded friend so will be saving there...
I'll look into the Cat cams, thanks !
is it just the cams that need changing when not going too radical with these or are there more parts needed (valvesprings ? etc.? ) I'm not very familiar with the technicalities :o
Alper , after reading up on the tecnicals you must have chosen the road medium or am i wrong?
And what about these prices ; is that 725 (euro)for per shaft or for the set ? (1500 for the set sounds right i guess)
The Schrick cams i can get for around 450 , so that would come to 900 so that's...
everybody (oh well almost) has this problem ! It's the manifold hitting the subframe.. maybe think of getting new engine-mounts ;) it's common but i hate it too
that's funny there ; i used to have an Impreza '99 tuned to 270 hp and then i got myself a Cup . Love the cup more , it's more fun to throw around. Miss the power of the Impreza though
